i know you said hotch and reader baby requests… but what about hotch’s daughter that he met as an adult meeting Jack for the first time? two babies in one! love you 💕
—You meet your little brother, with your dad’s support. fem, 1.6k
To grow up wondering if your father might love you is odd. You spend years wondering if you’d ever know him. Would he be proud of you? Would he like you? If you could find him, would he want you to?
And then you do find him, and you’re floored by how desperately he wants to take care of you.
Honey, his message starts, sent at 5AM that morning. Just to remind you, dinner is at 5PM, but you don’t have to worry about being late. You can come whatever time you like, please let me know beforehand. Jack was so excited last night he couldn’t sleep.
Another sent at 5:16AM. I can’t wait for you to meet him. How are you feeling about it? If this is too much, you don’t have to.
At 5:25AM. Please call me to talk when you’re awake, if you can.
You think perhaps your father might be as nervous as you are to introduce you to his family. Because Aaron, your dad, has a wife and child. Haley, his high school sweetheart (though there had been that brief separation in college that allowed your existence), and Jack, his four year old son.
This might be hard for everyone, but at least you aren’t destroying a family by existing. Aaron didn’t do anything wrong in getting your mother pregnant. He had no idea about it until you showed up at his office.
You rub your tired eyes and decide against calling him right away. You have work soon, and he’s probably at his own place of work already. Instead, you make yourself a cup of tea and breakfast you can’t eat. Turns out you’re more nervous than you thought.
You call him on your lunch break.
He said you can call him whenever you want, just he’s busy, and can’t always answer. He also said you can call him whatever you want. It had been a strangely touching moment at one of your ‘catching up on a whole life’ dinners. Mr. Hotchner was extremely formal, and made him laugh every time you said it. Aaron was better, but you could call him dad, if you liked. The paternity test agreed.
“Will that be weird for you?” you’d asked.
“Honey, I’ve had someone calling me dad for the last four years. You can call me what you want.”
Some part of you wished he insisted, but maybe it’s best the choice be down to you.
“Hello?” he asks as he picks up. “Y/N?”
The will to call him dad dies. It’s too awkward, what if he hates it? “Hello,” you say instead, stammering trying to sound natural.
“Hi, honey. Are you still coming to dinner tonight?”
“Yeah, I wouldn’t miss it.”
After an investigation and a mother’s confession, you found Aaron Hotchner online. Watched him behind podiums and sat at conference tables, even found his guest lecture at your university. It was a few years before you’d attended, but you can’t help thinking: what if you’d watched him talk? Would you have known he was your father? Of course, you couldn’t know. But maybe he would have.
Aaron took one good look at you in his office and believed you. Well, you had a photo of him and your mom, and you offered to take a paternity test then and there, but he told you he knew pretty quickly.
“You okay?”
“Just terrified,” you say.
“Haley… Haley isn’t mad at anyone. She has,” —he clears his throat— “a very tight picture of her life in her head, and her husband having a child without her wasn’t in that picture, but she also has a really big heart. I promise you have nothing to worry about.”
“It’s not Haley I’m scared of.”
“Honey, Jack can’t stop telling people he has a new sister. People keep giving Haley congratulations.”
You rub your eyes. You’ll be surprised if your makeup survives the day. “Are you sure you even want me to come?”
“I want you more than anything.”
Which doesn’t answer the question you’d voiced, but reassures the one you’d been thinking. “I just wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t want me to. I can’t imagine how terrible this has been for you. I’ve disrupted your whole life.”
“Is that what you think?” he asks gently.
You can imagine him sitting at his desk. His office was roomy, with heavy furniture, big windows, and a gaggle of photo frames on the desk. He is intimidating, but he doesn’t talk to you with any meanness, or sternness. He’s been careful with you this whole time, so no, you’ve no reason to think he doesn’t want you around, but maybe he’s too good a man to admit it.
“If it’s too much for now, we can wait,” he says. “We have all the time in the world. But I promise it won’t be what you’re thinking. You certainly aren’t disrupting my life.”
You decide to be brave about it and go to dinner. Only when you’re standing on the Hotchner porch do you remember he’d wanted to talk to you about something. He opens the door quietly, ushering you in with a smile, and before you know it he’s offering a hug in the small foyer.
“Hi,” he says, patting your back. Your hands rest tentatively on his sides.
“Hi.”
He holds you at arm’s length before dropping his touch. “You look pretty,” he says.
Which is a whole other category of thing. “Thank you. Is this the sort of thing you wear to dinner?”
“You can wear pyjamas, if you like. Jack usually does.”
“That would make a good first impression.”
Haley appears from a doorway. “Oh, you’re here,” she says, smiling. “Hello, hello!”
You get another hug. Haley smells like expensive perfume and softness. Her hair is perfect. She’s one of the most beautiful women you’ve ever seen, and it’s emphasised by her glowing smile. “Jack is bouncing off the walls, but he might get a little shy when he really gets to meet you.” Her smile softens. “Wow. You don’t look much like him, but you have his frown. How’s that possible?” She nudges Aaron. “You’re so moody it’s in your DNA.”
“I’m sorry, I’m just nervous,” you explain.
“Me too,” Haley says.
“It’ll be okay.” Aaron gives Haley a squeeze around the shoulders. “He’s in the living room. Are you ready?”
“Maybe she should go in by herself.”
You and Aaron both stare at Haley.
“I should?” you ask.
She shrugs. “It’s not like we’re going anywhere. But maybe Aaron can introduce you and then bow out. It’s less pressure on both of you.”
You honestly couldn’t agree less with her, and Aaron’s giving her a dubious frown, but she’s Jack’s mom and your dad’s wife and you’re too scared of upsetting her to disagree.
Aaron, however, isn’t worried. “You don’t have to,” he says, giving Haley a rub on her shoulder, “it’s just a suggestion.”
“It’s okay. Um, whatever you guys think is best.”
So Aaron opens the living room door and walks you in.
Jack is drawing a bright picture on the floor, surrounded by a spread of crayons and washable markers. He has a huge sketch pad, where light from the TV stains the white with cartoon colours.
“Jack.” Aaron touches the back of your arm. “Bud, Y/N’s here for dinner.”
Jack whirls. As predicted, he sees you and his smile turns to shyness. You’re feeling shy, too, tempted to hide behind Aaron’s arm, but stepping forward when he prompts you to.
“Hi, Jack,” you say.
“Hi,” he says, lookin at Aaron.
“This is your big sister,” Aaron says.
Because Jack is your little brother. Half brother, but brother. You weren’t expecting to feel so awed.
You step out of your heels, you should’ve at the door, and use the armrest of the couch to lower yourself onto your knees. You just wanna see him.
He’s quite big, for his age. He’s tall. He has brown hair with slightly blond ends, and his eyes are big, flush with dark lashes. You have some of the same DNA, but you’re not sure you could tell with the two of you side by side.
“You look like your mommy,” you say.
“You don’t,” Jack says.
“I look more like my mommy.” You smile at him. “It’s nice to meet you, Jack.”
“You don’t look like a sister,” Jack says. “You’re old.”
“I’m not that old.”
Aaron laughs and touches your shoulder again. It’s nice to think he’s standing by.
“I… I can still do big sister stuff, even if I’m old,” you hedge gently. “I can still do fun stuff, I swear. I’m super fun.”
Jack pulls himself on knees to sit very close to you. He takes the skirt of your dress into his hand and pets it. “What if we ruin your dress?” he says worriedly.
“I have so many like this, it’s okay.”
His smile warms. “Okay. You want to colour with me?”
“Yes, yeah, I do. I really want to, what can we colour?”
“I’ll draw you a picture.”
You look up at Aaron with a smile that threatens to set with the wind. You’d be stuck like that, grinning with a mixture of relief, pride, and affection.
“I’m gonna go help Haley set the table,” he tells you. You’re probably wanting more than he’s giving, but you swear, he talks with love. “Okay?”
“Okay.”
“Okay, dad,” Jack says, taking your hand to pull you to the crayons. “We’re gonna colour now.”
“Okay, buddy. Draw me something nice.”

“Okay… okaaaay.” You slur, stopping dead in your tracks, outside what you can only assume is a beautiful house but you're so drunk your head is spinning, your eyes are squinting and you can't focus. “I need to know.” You mumble, holding up one finger to Chan.
You can see him trying to not crack a smile at your obvious drunkenness.
“What do you need to know?” He asks, cocking his beautiful head to the side.
“First…off.” You hiccup. “How come all of you look like pale Greek gods?” You whine. “Second of all, why did you help me? With… asshat back there?” You almost incoherently mumble. It takes Chan and Jeongin a second to understand what you just said, and before he can answer you're swaying, your eyes are closed and you're pretty close to being passed out. Chan motions for Jeongin, who comes and throws you over his shoulder to bring you inside.
“... we helped you, because you needed us to help you.” Chan whispers from behind a chuckling Jeongin. They bring you into the house, Jeongin laying you down onto the couch gently, covering you with a blanket as 6 other men emerge from other parts of the house.
“There's a human in our house.” Seungmin mumbles.
“Correction, she's our human.” Hyunjin smiles, admiring your peaceful looking face.
“I really don't think this is going to go as smoothly as you all think it will.” Minho murmurs. “It's not going to be that easy.”
“No, it won't. But whatever happens, we're there for her.” Chan announces. “It's not like we have anything but time. She'll come around eventually once we tell her everything.”
“You think she will? Even when we tell her we've been waiting for her for over a century?” Seungmin scoffs. “She's going to run for the fucking hills.”
“Do you want her to run? Or do you want her to be here with us?” Han asks. “Cause I personally want her to be here.”
“Of course I want her here.” Seungmin begins. “But I just know how this is going to play out. Not to mention, that stupid fucking boyfriend of hers, you think he's gonna let her go that easily?”
“I wouldn't worry about him.” Jeongin laughs. “I can't see her going back to him.”
“I don't know man, humans and their emotions… They crave familiarity, comfort and shit. She's not done with him. Not yet. She will be though. But it has to be her decision.” Minho pipes up.
The 8 men stand around your sleeping frame, wondering how in the world you were going to be okay with them and what they were.
You let out a big yawn, stretching your arms as you try to remember last night's events as you slowly wake up. You roll over onto your side, hearing the faint sound of a TV in the background, that's weird, you didn't have a TV in your room. And you were sure you didn't end up back at your apartment after that shit with Mark. You need to open your eyes but to be completely honest, you're a little scared too. You open one eye, seeing an unfamiliar living room. You look around with one eye, before feeling like you weren't alone. You dart up on the couch you were sleeping on, seeing the handsome men from earlier in the week. They were all scattered on the couch, trying to not be obvious at looking at you but most of them were failing.
“Um.” You begin, your voice is hoarse.
“Don't panic.” Chan smiles, getting onto the floor, in front of you. “You got into it pretty bad with your ex last night. You were really drunk, we brought you back here to keep you safe.” He explains. Flashes of your fight with Mark pop into your head. You nod, it made sense.
“I had nowhere to go.” You whisper.
“Yes that's right.” Chan agrees.
“So you brought me home… like an abandoned puppy.” You murmur.
“You could say that.” One smiles.
“Seungmin.” Chan snaps.
“You all know me.” You say, looking around the room. “But I don't know you.”
“Let's change that. I'm Chan, that's Hyunjin.” He says, pointing to the man he was with when he caught you. “Seungmin.” The man who pulled you back from getting hit. “Jeongin.” You knew from your class. “Felix.” The man in the bathroom. “Han and Minho.” The ones you ran into, literally. “And finally, Changbin.” he says, pointing to the last man.
“The one who made me a terrible coffee.” You say. Everyone erupts in laughter.
“Hey! I'm still learning! I also may have given you decaf.” He pouts.
“You've worked at coffee shops for years, you've never improved.” Hyunjin laughs.
“Well.” You say clearing your throat. “This has been informative… Thank you for last night. I really appreciate it, but I think I should be going home.”
“You're going back to him?” Jeongin asks.
“I don't…um, I mean yeah?” You whisper. “He's my boyfriend.”
“He cheated on you.” Jeongin reminds you.
“Relationships take work… You know? Ups and downs and shit. I shouldn't be talking about this with strangers. Fuck. I should be talking to him.” You mumble. “I need to go.” You whisper.
“Already?” Han asks, pouting slightly.
“He'll um… be wondering where I am.” You say. You look around the room and they all look disappointed in your decision to leave. While you appreciated the help, your relationship was in the trenches and being in a house alone with 8 hot as fuck men, wasnt doing anyone any favors.
“Guys, relax. We'll see you around campus. And if you need help… or a place to stay, let any of us know.” Chan smiles. “Minho can take you home.”
“Oh no, that's okay, really, I don't know how far I am from my place and I don't want to inconvenience anyone. You've done so much already. ”
“I'll take you. Let's go.” Minho says, grabbing keys from his pocket, heading towards the front door. You quickly get up and follow him, turning around to see the 7 men still sitting there watching you leave, almost like they were pleading with their eyes for you to stay.
But as it turned out you were only 5 blocks from your apartment and you got there too quickly. You weren't ready to face Mark and you had no idea what this morning was going to bring.
The second you opened the door, Mark was there, tears stains left on his cheeks, down on his knees as he cried, begging and pleading for you to give him another chance. There was something about seeing a grown man on his knees, crying and begging after being caught that just felt…right.
“Get up.” You scoff. “That's so embarrassing for you.” You murmur, walking around him and into the apartment.
You were raging. Seeing him made it all that much worse, especially down on the floor, and honestly made you question how in love with him you were… if you even were still.
“Y/n.” He begins, scrambling from his knees. “Please forgive me. Please, I'm begging you, I'm so sorry about everything. My attitude, the cheating, everything. Every single thing I've done in the last little while.” He huffs. Part of it feels genuine, but part of it feels almost forced, like there's an ulterior motive for his apology. “Please don't leave me. Please. I love you so much. I can't lose you!” He whines.
“You didn't love me that much when you had that girl in our bed, did you?” You laugh.
“It was a mistake! A stupid, stupid mistake. I love you and I'll change… for you!” He pleads.
No.
You loved him.
Don't.
You did love him.
Don't do it.
You loved him once.
Your inner voice was screaming at you to turn around and walk away, literally sleep on the street if you needed to but don't stay with him.
“Mark…” you pause. “This is out. I'm all out of fucks to give. You fuck it up this time and I'm fucking done.” You murmur.
Where the fuck was your backbone?
“Thank you baby, thank you. You won't regret it!” He smiles, wiping away his tears, wrapping his arms around you.
You knew you would regret it, but whether that was in an hour, a day or a year was yet to be seen.
“Good morning, beautiful.” You hear from beside you. You glance over to see Hyunjin standing there, a small smile on his face as he waits for the light with you.
“Good morning.” You murmur, your stomach fluttering and your heart racing. You could feel the redness creeping across your face. The walk signal begins flashing, Hyunjin reaches over, grabbing your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. “Seungmin told me about the first time you met.” He whispers. “Don't worry, I'll keep you safe.” He finishes, pulling you along the cross walk with him. Mark never did things like this, if you were walking with him, he'd be laughing and joking about the time you almost got hit by a car.
You're so flustered you can't respond to him. All you could focus on was the jolt of electricity that was flowing through your body, only that you'd never experienced before with anyone else. Once you're safely across the street, Hyunjin lets go of your hand, giving you a big grin, before taking off in the opposite direction of you.
You walk towards your class, glancing around the campus, when your eyes lock with Chan. He's leaning against a pillar, flipping through a notebook, and you almost start drooling. You watch him as you keep walking, the smile on his face never faltering as you walk past. He smiles at you, giving you a little wave before sneaking in a wink that makes your red face continue.
You got to class a little earlier than last time, praying there was more of a seat selection than there was last time. You open the door, it was almost empty. You smile walking in, picking a seat in the middle so you weren't too close but also not too far away. You unpack your backpack, setting up your desk when you hear the door open. Your head shoots up, seeing Jeongin walking in. Your heart starts racing as he sees you, flashing a gorgeous smile towards you. He walks up, sitting beside you again and this time you don't mind, but Jeongin sitting next to you made for a tough class. He couldn't not touch you. He had to have either his leg touching yours, or his arm touching yours, making you feel the jolts of electricity, just like you had felt with Hyunjin earlier in the morning.
Jeongin left class abruptly, while you took your time gathering your things. You weren't sure how many more interactions you could handle today. You walked out of the classroom, where you see one of Mark's best friends, San standing off to the side, twiddling his fingers. You watched him spot you, he takes a deep breath before he starts walking towards you. Suddenly his eyes go wide, he turns around and walks away from you. You're confused for a moment until you feel someone beside you.
“How was class?” Felix asks, a sultry smile on his face.
“I'm not sure.” You sigh, you barely remember a single sentence your professor said. Jeongin's cool body and the feeling of him beside you was extremely distracting.
“Jeongin?” He laughs.
“How'd you know?” You ask.
“It's the pull.” He murmurs. you wanted to ask him what that meant but he continued. “Ah, look at the time.” He laughs. “I have class. See you later.” He yells, rushing off.
You really didn't want to go to your last class but you did and when it was done you went home to collapse in bed. It was only Monday and Mark had sent you a text that he was out with the boys. So you knew you wouldn't see him for at least four days, if not more, that's if he was really with them. You didn't trust him, you didn't know if he was with them or the girl but you couldn't ask him. If you even joked a little about it he got so upset. That was a red flag and you knew it was, but you couldn't bring yourself to actually leave him because trust could regrow… right?
The next morning it was quiet. As you waited at the light, there was no one waiting there with you. As you walked through the campus for your early morning class you were alone and it felt weird. You walked to the coffee shop, desperately needing caffeine before your day truly started. You walked into the coffee shop, seeing Changbin behind the counter. You were going to keep it simple for him today, you did wonder how he kept his job if he couldn't make any coffee correctly.
“Hey, you.” He smiles. “What can I get you?”
“Can I get an iced latte… caramel.” You smile.
“Of course!” He says, turning around to make your drink. You didn't have much faith in him but you were hoping for the best.
“Hey baby.” You hear from behind you. Your heart sinks. You turn around, seeing Mark standing there with San, who was avoiding eye contact.
“Mark? What are you doing here?” You ask.
“I have class, too.” He says, walking towards you.
“One beautiful latte, for a beautiful girl.” Changbin announces, sliding a hot drink towards you with a smile, until he sees Mark. His smile drops, glaring at the man standing with you.
“Why are you calling my girlfriend beautiful?” Mark asks. He looks between you and Changbin. “Are you fucking the coffee man?” He scoffs.
“Oh fuck off, Mark. I'm not the fucking cheater here.” You spit, rolling your eyes. “Thanks, Changbin.” You say. He can see the sadness in your face and he can hear it in your voice. He watches you walk away, your mood completely ruined.
“Stay away from her.” Mark snaps at Changbin, who just smiles.
“Why? Are you scared she's going to leave you?” Changbin asks. “Because I'll let you in on a little secret.” He whispers, leaning closer to Mark. “She will leave you, because you fucking suck.”
“Shut the fuck up.” Mark scoffs. “She'll never leave me. Give me a coffee.” He demands.
“Sorry, all out of coffee for douchebags.” Changbin laughs. “Next!”
You just went through the motions of the day, your mind replaying the entire interaction from the morning over and over again. How could Mark think that you were cheating on him? You had never given him the slightest reason to doubt you. He was insecure. You knew that but he'd never accused you before, so why now? You shuffled through campus, ready to go home and hoped Mark wouldn't be there.
“Why so glum?” You hear from beside you. You look over and see Seungmin, shuffling his feet with you. “Is it about the whole thing this morning?” He asks.
You stopped in your tracks, looking at Seungmin. “How did you hear about that?”
“Changbin.” Seungmin says, shrugs his shoulders.
“You're all a bunch of gossips, aren't you?” You ask, glaring at him, making him laugh.
“Yeah.” He chuckles. “Sometimes.”
You keep walking, Seungmin continues to walk with you. “You shouldn't trust Mark, you know.” He mentions.
“Yeah, well he hasn't earned that back, not even close.” You mumble.
“Take care of yourself, okay?” He says. You turn to say something but he's gone. It feels like he was never even there. You go home to your empty apartment, thankful for the quiet you get that evening.
You cried yourself to sleep that night.
The next morning, you head to class, and all throughout the day you have no interactions with any of the men that have mysteriously come into your life. When you walked out of your last class, you're met with pouring rain. The sky was almost black, the wind slowly picking up. It made the knots in your stomach worse. All day you'd felt like something was wrong but you couldn't put your finger on it. You step out from under the shelter, deciding to brave the rain and walk home. You'd only make it a few steps before your arm is yanked. You turn around, seeing San, soaking wet, breathing heavily.
“What are you doing?” You yell.
“I have to tell you something!” He says back. “Mark…” He pauses.
“Is he okay?” You ask, worried for a second that something happened to him.
“He's fine but y/n… you need to know. He never stopped seeing Chae. He's still fucking around on you with her.” San admits.
You drop your hand to your side, it feels like your throat is beginning to close.
How could you have been so stupid to think that Mark was serious enough to stop cheating? Of course he was. You can feel the tears welling in your eyes as you sniffle. You're ready to collapse to the ground, hoping the earth would swallow you up and make you disappear.
“I'm sorry y/n… I really am.” San says, awkwardly putting his arm around you. You stand there, partially embraced by San as your head just spins 100 miles a minute. He says something to you that you don't really hear before walking away from you.
You feel your knees get weak, you're going to drop but before you can, you feel an arm tightly wrap around your shoulders, keeping you up right.
“I got you.” The voice murmurs. You look over to see Minho beside you, Han grabbing onto your other side, both men guiding you to Minho's car. They were both completely unbothered by the rain, whereas you were shivering like you were in the middle of a Canadian winter.
Minho opens the back passenger side door for you, letting you slide in before he rushes towards the driver's side and Han gets into the front. Minho starts the car and blasting the heat in the back pointing all the heaters towards you. You could feel the tears coming on but you didn't want to cry. Mark wasn't worth it to cry. He showed you who he was, all throughout the last 2 years and you just took it, you put up with it and gave him chance after chance. So now that he's fucked up again, it shouldn't hurt anymore. But it did, and you didn't know how to make it stop hurting.
Minho watched the road intensely for the short drive to the house. Neither of them spoke, thankfully. You couldn't do it right now. You were thankful he wasn't taking you back to your apartment because honestly, how do you tell someone you just met for the third time, that you can't go home because your boyfriend cheated on you, just like he did the second time you met. You felt so fucking stupid. The car pulls into the semi familiar driveway, turning off and the three of you sit there in silence. Not once did either ask you what was wrong, what happened or why you were so upset, but at the same time it was almost like they knew.
Of course they knew, they probably would have been able to spot what was going to happen next from a mile away.
“Do you want to sit in here or go inside?” Minho asks, breaking the silence. They both glanced back at you.
You weren't sure. You should probably go in, but you felt it to be a little strange. Going back into their house a few days later. You could just feel the “I told you so.” From Jeongin already.
You should have listened to the strangers. Before you can answer his question, the front door swings open, a pissed off looking Hyunjin stomps out onto the front porch. You watch as he and Chan argue, both of them looking like they were going to rip each other's throats out. For some reason, you felt compelled to get out of the car, like you needed to get in-between the two of them, so that's what you did. You left the car door open as you rushed up the steps, moving between the two fuming men.
“What the hell, you guys?” You snap.
Both their faces immediately soften as they look at you and your red, puffy face.
“Us? Why are you back? What happened?” Chan asks, grabbing onto your arm. His hand was like ice, it sent a chill down your spine.
“She just about collapsed in the rain.” Minho pipes up, closing your door for you. “We don't know why.” He murmurs, looking between Chan and Hyunjin.
“Come on, let's get you inside.” Chan murmurs, guiding you in. “We'll finish this later.” He says to Hyunjin, who follows closely behind you.
An hour, some hot coffee not made by Changbin, warm towels and blankets and some laughs later, you're dry with 8 men sitting around you, all of them desperate to ask you what happened but all of them waiting until you're ready to tell them.
“I guess you wanna know what happened?” You ask.
“Who? Us? Nah, if you're not ready.” Han smiles.
“Yeah actually, that's what we've all been waiting for. Spill it, L/N.” Seungmin says.
“One of Mark's friends… he uh, he told me Mark is still cheating on me.” You murmur.
“Are you surprised?” Minho asks. He seemed genuinely curious.
“I mean a little? He begged me like a little bitch to not leave him..” you mumble.
“I'm so glad I didn't serve him coffee.” Changbun murmurs under his breath.
“I'm sorry y/n.” Chan says. “What's your plan now?”
“Plan? I don't have a plan to be honest. I don't know what to do.” You sigh.
“You can stay here until you decide what you want to do.” Jeongin smiles.
“Yeah, as long as you need.” Hyunjin agrees.
“I have nothing. None of my stuff. Ugh. I can go back for a few days. When he hangs out with his friends he's gone for days at a time.” You mention.
“Well here, take my number, call me when he comes back and we'll come over and help you get your stuff out.” Chan says, putting his hand out for your phone. You give it to him, just in time for Han to mention something fun.
“You can come to the party!” Han smiles.
“Party?” You ask.
“Yeah, we're having a party on Saturday.” Felix confirms.
“A party sounds fun.” You say. “A good distraction.” And that's just what you needed. Was a night away from real life, something to take your mind off of the issues in your life.
But nothing ever works out quite the way you hope it will, does it?

~
The baby pulled on your back as you waddled through the Gardens of the Red Keep, listening to the birds swimming through the air with their happy tunes; which was a complete contrast to how you were feeling. You knew your ultimate goal was to give your husband a baby, you knew that you had only married each other for the financial gain to give at least one male heir that can be in the line for the throne. Your family owned most of the North, all being Lords and Ladies and owning the biggest castles and palaces. Something King Viserys couldn’t let go. You had wondered, often, why you were the chosen one and not your sister, who was Aemond’s exact age. You were two years younger than him.
Your pregnant belly served as a reminder of who you were to the Keep, Queen Alicent came in every evening after supper to check on you but not to see how you were, to see how her grandchild was. She would constantly refer to the baby as a he and it would further enforce a worry that was so overwhelming you were often worried that your own baby might die before you get to meet them. If this baby wasn’t a boy, she didn’t know what she would do, she would be a failure and Aemond would probably take on another wife; but it won’t be his own decision, it’ll be his mothers. In the last three years you had been married, you broke all rules and fell in love. Aemond treated you like a precious jewel despite being cold hearted and strong headed, he would demand respect for you when you were unable to demand it for yourself. He was the one who stuck up for you when his mother had a doctor check that you could bear children as it was expected to be pregnant within a year of marriage. But you and Aemond made the secret decision to wait to try for a child, your sex had been as protected as it could be and it was still just as amazing. Sometimes, though, you wondered whether Aemond would be unhappy at the birth of a daughter. You hoped he wouldn’t be but you already had a happy marriage unlike most of the world; it would be tedious to hope for a man that would be happy at the birth of a girl. Somewhere inside of you, you harboured that childish wish, hidden and deep.
“Princess Y/N.” Helaena was by one of the stone arches, leaning against it with a spider in her hands. She didn’t look up when you approached her. “He’s unhappy.”
“Who is?” Helaena had always been a little weird, always playing with her insects and you hated to admit that you kept a distance because she always seemed to be staring. However, as you were around, you both warmed to each other to a nice conversation in the Keep hallways.
“My spider.” She pouted, opening her palm to big, spindly, black thing that made you shiver and step back. “Got a broken leg.” She pointed to one of the front legs which was wonky and stopped him from walking normally across her palms.
“Ah, I’m sorry.” You didn’t know what else to say until a small, sudden dull ache shot across your body. It wasn’t pain enough for you to groan or shout, just a quick wince and a palm on your stomach was enough. You stroked it up and down, feeling your stretched skin and the hardness of your baby curled up. Suddenly, Helaena reached out and placed her milky hand on your belly, a smile stretching across her lips. “What is it?”
“You’re going to be so happy.” She whispered, almost to herself, she removed her hand and disappeared down the hallway without a goodbye. Your back began to pulse, it usually did this if you walked around too much, the baby was almost ready so it wasn’t a surprise that your body began to shatter away after a ten minute walk.
~
Two guards posted outside of your chambers highlighted that Aemond was behind them, your heart still pitched whenever you were around him and you wished that blissful feeling would never end. The guards nodded at your arrival, opening the doors and revealing your grand, dark oak decorated chambers with high ceilings that depict your House and the Targaryen House. That familiar smell of polished leather wafted from the open balcony doors, the white silk rippling in the breeze. You waddled towards the doors, seeing the back of your husband leaning his hands on the iron fence.
“Aemond?” You questioned, walking out but before you got to his side he turned around. Without a word, he smiled, wrapping his arms around your waist and even though hugging these days was much harder; he always made it work.
“Y/N.” He breathed, kissing your cheek and his arms still clasped around your waist. You looked up at your beautiful husband with one eye, your hands softly resting on his forearms. “Are you okay? You’re looking flushed.” He hand cupped your cheek, stroking it softly before planting a soft kiss on your forehead.
“I should really stop going on these walks, Aemond. They’re causing havoc with my back.” You rubbed at your lower spine which was twisting in pain. He hummed in response, his eye looking over you in worry. “What’s that look for?” You questioned.
“I want a doctor to see you.” He said, removing his arms and placing his wide palms on your stomach; a feeling you absolutely loved.
“No, I don’t want a doctor. It’ll be the same one your mother had. I’m happy with my midwives, they’ll take good care of me, Aemond. I promise. You need to stop worrying.” You cupped his face, stepping on your tiptoes and kissing his soft lips.
“Baby, I know you don’t like him but do this for me? Just to keep my mind rested?” He questioned, playing with your hair net that kept your long hair in check. You groaned, leaning your forehead against his chest.
“Fine but make him bring a tonic for my back, okay?” You shifted back and walked towards your four postered bed, climbing on it on all fours before you melted into the soft pillows and silk sheets; your back instantly mended.
~
You must’ve slept for around forty minutes because a dull pain thundered in your back, you whined as your eyes pulled open to see Aemond and the doctor just arriving. The doctor was a stout, round little man with a face like a smacked ass most of the time and probably thinking that he didn’t want to be anywhere near a pregnant woman and was best at mending wounds on the battleground; you thought the same.
“Help her up for me.” He demanded, Aemond wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her gently to a sitting up position but you were too busy groaning with the twisting pain in your back. “Legs spread.” He clicked his fingers at you, as he opened his toolbox of very scary and sharp items that made your legs shudder.
“Is he going to use them on me?” You asked Aemond, who was now sat by your side, he shook his head but his face was lined with worry. The doctor struck his hand between your legs, making you hiss, the pain suddenly there than in your back. He grunted to himself as his fingers roamed around, you twisted around to fight the embarrassment of this moment in front of your husband.
“Damn you, Doctor. What is it?” Aemond basically shouted, shocking you.
“It’s time.” He said nonchalantly, shrugging and packing up his toolbox. “Get your servants to fetch the midwives.”
“I’ll have your fucking head for that attitude! This is my fucking wife, who you have just said, is in labour! She’s giving birth weeks before she has to! And you just say ‘it’s time’!?” Aemond was towering over the doctor now, as you wept into the back of your hand. This can’t be happening. This can’t be happening. You hadn’t prepared for the actual birth yet and you certainly hadn’t taken the tonics made for a healthy birth, you hadn’t offered anything to the gods because you simply weren’t to give birth yet. You would’ve done all of this next week, it was next week’s plan and then the week after would be your birth.
“Aemond!” You shouted, he came right to your side. “Please, please just get my midwives.” He was gone in an instant.
~
You were flat on your back within twenty minutes, your dress completely vanished and you left in your underclothes as your legs spread, your feet dangling in the air as two midwives hold them aloft, your forehead drenched in your salty sweat and cold water as Alicent kept soaking your head in some cold water tonic. Your stomach groaned, your organs shifted as you screamed; your spine splitting vertebrae by vertebrae just to make you suffer for longer. The head midwife was between your legs, checking your dilation but at this point, you had no idea what was going on. Your lower back sawed in half and the feeling went trembling through your legs, hitting at every nerve as fat tears began to soak your cheeks.
“There is no movement.” One midwife whispered to the Queen, you looked to your left to watch the conversation with blurry eyes, your face growing hot and the sweat perking up on the crown of your head. Alicent looked tense for a simple moment before turning to you, with a soft smile on her lips.
“What’s happening?” You whispered, your voice raw as she shushed you like mother, stroking your hairline as she wet your head once again. Little did you know, the midwives were readying to have the doctor cut you open with one of his sharp knives. Alicent kept stroking your head as the pain awoke inside of you, your uterus feeling split open by the muscle contractions.
Outside in the hallway, Aemond waited with King Viserys and his brothers; picking at the tips of his nails as he leaned nervously on the wall. The sounds of your screams echoed throughout the hallway, creating a cold film across Aemond’s skin as his mind couldn’t rest from not being in that room and by your side. He should be the one to wet your head and hold your hand, he was the father after all. But this was how it was done.
“Are you excited to fuck her again?” Aegon smirked, his short brother was opposite him with his disgusting piglike face. Viserys audibly scoffed and rolled his eyes but didn’t say anything. He never said anything when the boys would say some horrible shit to each other. Aemond looked at his brother with disgust.
“Shut up, Aegon.” He wouldn’t lose his temper, not today of all days. He would beat the shit out of him at the next military training day. He would show him, again, that he was the stronger brother.
“She’ll be fat though. You alright with fucking a fat woman?” In a flash, Aegon was up against the wall with Aemond’s forearm hard across his next, pushing harder and harder.
“Don’t ever talk about my wife again. Never again should she come out of your mouth unless you don’t want your tongue. I can rip your tongue out with my bare hands.” Aemond hissed, spitting in his face before a familiar sound screeched through the hallways.
Back in the room, you were squirming with pain and your poor back was now completely snapped from the lightning that kept shooting through your body. You knew that the baby wasn’t moving, you were crying with fear of delivering a dead baby, of failing the one thing your body was made to do. Your back arched towards the ceiling as your nerves ignited and your hands growing numb from the pain that bounced off every bone in your body. You felt yourself begin to slip away, your eyelids heavy and your jaw slacking to one side and before the darkness enveloped you, you screamed out one word.
“Aemond!”
Instantly, Aemond was in the room, his chest heaving up and down as he scanned the room. His heart stopping at a halt when he saw the blood, the clots, the sweat that surrounded your legs; your calves and feet completely coated in deep red blood that was already dried by the time Aemond had made it into the room. Then his eyes travelled from your feet, up to your knees that were spread either side of your body to your rounded belly that hadn’t deflated yet and you. Tears sprang to his eyes as he saw your eyes closed shut, your mouth open like you had just been screaming but now frozen in time. His mother clutched at the wet rag, watching you with grief stricken eyes. The midwives had stopped doing their work and now stood around to look at you with tears streaming down their faces. Aemond’s boots clicked as he made his way to your side, your face serene and peaceful, he kneeled by you and stroked your hair out of your face.
“Aemond.” Alicent placed her elegant hand on her son’s shoulder but he shrugged it off without taking his eye off his beautiful wife, the one woman he loved with his entire being. He shifted his gaze to your chest and saw that it was still moving up and down.
“She’s still breathing.” He said, with little urgency because he suspected they knew this. Alicent looked towards the midwives to answer.
“We must persevere to save your child.” One of them said, Aemond scoffed.
“I want you to save my wife as well.” He demanded with a soft tone, trying not to lose his temper.
“It is either one or the other, my son. Both will not survive.” Alicent said softly, whispering towards the end as if to sound upset. Aemond couldn’t handle this for much longer.
“MY fucking wife!” He shouted, jumping to his feet and marching towards the midwives. “My wife, the only woman I have ever loved and you are letting her die! She’s young, she’s beautiful and you are leaving her to die in fucking pain.” They winced at his anger as he marched back to his mother. “And if it was my mother who gave the orders to murder my wife then I want her fucking gone. Out of my sight and away from her.” He spat at her feet before turning to you, your eyelids fluttering as he was instantly on his knees, he ignored the sniffles behind him as Alicent silently exited the room.
Your eyes opened slowly, peeling your eyelids from each other and you saw, behind the blurry curtain of your eyesight, your husband with his hand stroking your cheek so softly it was like he wasn’t doing anything. His face had tear streaks and his lips shuddered a little as he watched you open your eyes. For a moment, there was no pain. Only him. And you kept your eyes on him as he brought his lips to your nose, pressing on the tip gently.
“Aemond.” You croaked, reaching out for his hand in slow motion. He met you in the middle, bringing your fingers to his lips.
“Hello, baby.” He whispered. “You fell asleep for a few minutes but now it’s time to have the baby and I am here, I will stay by your side forever and you will never have to scream for me or cry for me ever again. I promise.” Tears rolled down your face as he softly kissed your lips. “Are you ready for this, my love?” You nodded, unable to speak because that twisting pain came back and you tried to haul yourself up with the one arm that was free but the midwives kept you down. The head midwife checked between your legs and nodded at Aemond.
“Keep breathing for us, Princess. You’re almost there.” You breathed in through your nose and exhaled through your mouth, your body relaxing with every exhale as if you’re letting go of all the pain and suffering you had gone through. Between your legs, you felt a stretch unlike anything else and a sharp pain that tore through your body and made you cry out in pain. “Lift up her torso for me.” She commanded, two midwives came at either side but Aemond stopped them.
“This is my child. Let me be a part of it.” He climbed onto the bed behind you, shifting his legs so you were settled between them before pulling up your body so gently it was like you were floating and now you were hitched up against his chest, your legs being held by the midwives that were going to lift you up. “Push for me, baby.” He whispered, holding you and you felt the strength to push down against your pelvis, feeling a slight movement as you breathed in and on the breath out, you pushed down; grinding your teeth until you were groaning. “Come on, baby.” He squeezed your forearm and you pushed again, until you felt something the size of a ball exit your body and for the last time, you pushed until a new cry splintered the room. The midwife pulled the crying baby from you and held it up to determine the sex. Her face dropped.
“A beautiful, healthy, baby girl.” You would be lying if you said you were ecstatic at the reveal, but you weren’t too disappointed either. You worried more about Aemond’s reaction so you looked up to find him crying, his eye patch lifted onto his shoulder as he squeezed his real eye and sapphire eye with his index finger and thumb.
“Bring her to me.” You said, your body now in a dull ache. Wrapped in silk cloth and cleaned and beautifully pink, your baby laid in your arms, her little fingers clutching on her blanket as you looked down at her. Your breath was taken from you when her eyes opened and reached for her mother, a sob emitted from your throat as the realisation that this perfect baby was yours to love and nurture. She was yours to admire. She was all yours.
“Gods, she is perfect.” Aemond whispered, bring his hand to the top of her head. He held her head gently, his thumb stroking the tiny strands of hair that she came out with. He reached down and kissed her forehead, kissing your cheek as he made his way back up to sitting. “Well done, my love. Well done.” He placed butterfly kisses on your neck and both of you relished in this silence as you both looked upon the most precious jewel you made. A little tiny human that shared both of you, she had no idea about the world she was born in. But that was okay. Because her mother and father would protect her until she didn’t need it anymore.
~
The church filled with people up and down the Red Keep as the baptism waited to take place. Behind a curtain, you stood draped in a most magnificent white gown and white headdress with your wonderful husband at your side, dressed in white as well. It had been four weeks since the birth of your daughter and four weeks in confinement as your body mended after the trauma of the birth, you still ached down below but you had to make an appearance at your daughters baptism. This would be the first time anyone other than your husband and child had seen you, so you wanted to make an impression with this massive gown.
“Congratulations.” King Viserys croaked from behind, he came limping in on his wooden walking stick with his Queen by his side. He had been ill straight after the birth and was kept hidden away until he got better. “I have seen my beautiful granddaughter and isn’t she just marvellous? I’ve always favoured girls.” He smiled before looping around you to get in the official formation. It would go the High Septon in front, then King and Queen with the baby and then you and Aemond behind. To be blessed properly, the baby had to be in the arms of either monarch. Before the doors opened, Aemond took your hand.
“How are you feeling?” He questioned, you looked up at your handsome husband.
“A bit sore, but I’m okay. You?” He brought your hand to his lips and kissed them.
“I’m always fine, my darling. Always fine if you are.” He kissed again, before pinching your cheeks. “You look beautiful.” You blushed like a teenage girl, your heart beating as you breathed in. He reached down and kissed your cheek.
“I’m actually nervous for this. No one has seen me in forever.” You said, wringing your hands.
“Cut yourself a break. You just gave birth and you look fucking beautiful.” A thought passed his mind, it showed in his eyes and he leaned down to whisper. “You’re so beautiful, I would fuck you right here, right now. Harder than I’ve ever done before.” He smirked, whisper kissing your neck. “If you weren’t still in pain, of course. So once you’re better, wait for what I’ll do to you.” You inhaled as he straightened up, as if he hadn’t just said all that in a room full of people.
A few moments beat by and a cute gurgle caused both of you to turn around and see your bundle of joy in the arms of her nanny, Aemond smiled instantly and took her from the nanny. You watched as your husband cradled your daughter, bouncing her gently in his arms as he stalked towards you, his eyes stuck on his stunning daughter.
“I’ll never get over her beauty.” He said to you, you met him in the middle and stroked the top of her head with your fingers. Her features were becoming more shaped like yours, her little hands still grasped at her lace outfit and white silk blanket that was the same cut as yours. You leaned down and kissed her button nose. Aemond never looked away from her and you wished you could freeze this moment of Aemond and your baby; him looking at her with great love and admiration and her looking up at him with saucer eyes full of wonder and curiosity.
“You’re so good with her.” You whispered, nestling your index finger in her tiny fist. She squeezed hard on it and you smiled like she had recognised you were her mother.
“Thank you.” Aemond looked up suddenly, tears welling in his eye.
“What for?” You cocked your head to the side.
“For giving me our daughter, Hope and for showing me that love wins every time. Thank you for being the most perfect jewel of a woman in the entire world. Thank you for giving me a beautiful family.” Both of you were crying, silently as the tears stream down your cheeks and you rested your head on his chest, looking at your daughter with pride blooming in your chest. Stroking her tiny hands and watching as she dozes deep into a sleep. You and your perfect family. Safe. Loved. Prideful. Grateful. And most importantly, happy.

Chuu, i want to forget canon au now. It's better to talk LE drabble. So I have an idea —fluff 🍼 back
Satoru find weird (or maybe gross) video to try it with you. But just using it to tease you.. You know satoru only playing now, but still for safety, you're running from him. "Eww satoru, nope. Stop chasing me for that, idiot". Ended it's chasing scene like tom and jerry but both of you are laughing like kids, you play along with him..
You're so careful to meet his eyes. But he caught and bring you like a sack to bedroom and doing your night tale like usual >∆<
“t-that’s so—! satoru it’s dinnertime!”
“nuh uh, i’d say early start is better—”
this is the dinner table. your son looks at both of his parents, who are arguing after watching at a weird-sounding video from his papa’s phone, with a question mark in mind, as he munches his baby food.
satoru puckers his lips. “look, we never tried that position!”
“satoru!!!” you send your baby a concerned glance, before glaring at him. you get up from your seat. “no, goodbye.”
“eh? eh?? no! i’ll catch you!” and he too gets up from his seat and chase you.
your son is intrigued. he totally doesn’t understand what both of you talked about (bless him) but right in this moment, as you’re running from your husband and he’s blocking your possible paths, just like in the cartoon he watches daily, he wants to join too!
“satoru, good lord—” you almost laugh at the way he’s guarding your exit on both sides of the couch, both hands spreading widely. “stop chasing me! you look like a total clown!”
“not a chance. until you let me bed you that is,” he wickedly smiles.
but suddenly your little munchkin, out of nowhere, runs past him, unexpectedly becoming his army as he yells, “catch mamaaa!”
“right kiddo, let’s get her!”
“—?? wait, what—?!”
and long story short, your own kid topples on you and grips you in a vice like hug, giving satoru his win.
“aren’t i your favorite?” you pout at your son, squeezing his cheeks. “why did you betray me?” and he merely giggles as he rolls on you on the floor.
seeing his food toasted (you) right in front of him, satoru ruffles his toddler’s hair with pride. “heh, good kid.”
“satoruuu!” you shriek when he picks you up and flings you over his shoulder like a sack of potato. “nooo, baby, save meee—”
“huh?” poor son looks at both of you with confusion, and satoru puts an index finger on his lips, smirking evilly.
“now go back to your room, ‘kay? mama needs her bed time too and if she’s lucky, she can get up early tomorrow~”

They are divorced and have two children together, and he is jealous that she is leaving the kids at his house so she can go on a date. but the meeting was horrible, because the guy is not like Joe
This was a very specific and I had so much fun writing in. A little bit of angst at the end.
What we used to be
The decision for filing the divorce was consciously taken. It was done three years ago, while you went to a rough patch in your marriage. The decision wasn't easy, because you share two children together, and for them was equally hard to understand why mommy and daddy weren't together anymore.
One of the main reasons was after having children, you marriage went cold and dead. He was busy playing football and you were busy mothering a three years old and a nine months old. You didn't have the time to be a couple anymore.
Currently, you decided to start dating again after your friends prompted you to do so. It was difficult because you had to coordinate with Joe (now that you were co-parenting). And of course, was during the off-season because during his seasons you had the kids most of the time. On weekends you dropped the children with Robin so she would take them to the home game. It was a messy life, because you shared a lot of things as a result of the years together. Trying to get rid of Joe was impossible having children with his face and living in Cincinnati. So you made peace with that fact long ago. You got along for the children, he was kind and always asked for your opinion when included the family. And you were polite with him, but nothing else.
You send him a text. "Hey, I'm dropping the kids early this Friday. That's ok?"
Joey B: Yeah, that's ok. Are you busy on Friday?
You: Yeah, something came up. Your home or your parents'?
Joey B: My house. Everything alright?
You: everything alright
That was the last text. After that you waited earnestly for your date. You met John through friends, he seemed like a good guy. By looks, the completely opposite of Joe. John had one child already, and worked for a big company in New York but was living in Cincinnati two years now.
You thought it would be difficult if men knew who was your ex-husband because it had happened one time and it ruin the mood for everyone. Apparently, you completely fucked up or whatever. Well, John didn't know anything about football, he couldn't care less about the Superbowl and that was a pleasant surprise.
So on Friday, you drive Mackenzie and Julian to their dad's house. They were behaving well during all morning. And since it was off-season they could spent the weekend with Joe.
You parked the car, and for your surprise Joe was waiting for them outside.
"Dad!" yelled Julian, running towards Joe who was wearing pants and a hoodie. "Mom, can you help me with my backpack?" asked Mackenzie trying to open the door. You got out of the car, and help her. She made cookies for her dad, and was so happy to share.
You help her to carry the backpack until you were face to face with Joe, who was looking handsome as always.
"Daddy, I made cookies!"
"Daddy, can we play videogames?"
The children demanded attention equally, but Joe was still staring at you. Hard.
"Have I something on my face?" you asked, almost aggressively. You put some make up on and dressed in a nice dress for the occasion.
"No, you fine" he cleared his throat "Not your usual fit"
"Mommy is going on a date" Julian shout, excited. Joe's eyebrows raised, you laughed nervous.
"Well, kids behave well. Enjoy the cookies" you said trying not to look at your ex-husband. "Is that true?" he asked, he sounded kinda jealous. Maybe you were overthinking.
"Well, yes" not wanting to discuss anything further in front of the kids "Take care, Joey"
"Please, call me if you need something" he said, "Let me know you're safe"
Your heart flipped. Why he did those things before your date? Weird. You nodded, going back to the car.
John was a nice man. You were sure he was nice, just...not to you. After thirty minutes in the date he kept talking about himself and his work that you thought you were watching a TED talk. He was good looking, but soon you realize you didn't have anything in common by what he was saying. Your mind wandered to your first date with Joe, it was in a bowling alley. Things got competitive and you spent a really good time together that you hook up in your car after the date. Would you hook up with John? Nah.
"Do you need another drink?" John's voice brought you back from your wild thoughts.
"No, thank you"
"So, you told me your ex-husband was a football player, right?"
"Yes" you said cautiously "He still plays"
"And how do you get along?"
"We talked only for the kids"
"Ummm, sure" he dismissed your answer. You raised your eyebrows, astonished. "What do you mean?" you wondered.
"Nothing. I didn't tell you about this trip I'm going to make next month..." he started talking again.
Joe bought you drinks too. You loved his smile back then. Julian had the same smile actually. After getting married you had very nice dates too, but you loved to spend time at home watching movies and resolving puzzles.
The date went on, and you have to excuse yourself or would die of boredom. After the date you missed your children so much, but it was Joe's time with them. So you went to your house and waited.
On Sunday evening, you went to pick up the kids. After a couple of minutes, Joe appeared wearing shorts and a compression shirt. He looked really handsome, his sandy hair was messy, he looked younger somehow.
"Hey" you said, nervous.
"The kids are in the pool" he explained "Come in while I prepare them"
"Oh, no. I can wait in the car" you replied, pointing at your car. He looked up-and-down, and pressed his lips. You blushed like a teenager "I bet they want to see you"
"Okay" you whispered, follow him inside the house. "How was your date?" the question made you flinch. You didn't remember John at all. "Umm, it was good"
I was bored as hell, and thinking about you. How pathetic.
Silence. By the way he was looking at you, he didn't believe you either. You reach the kitchen and he offered something to drink and you decline. "Are you going to the OTAs early this year?" you wondered, hearing music and the children screams outside.
"No, I'm going to spend time with the kids" you nodded, pleased. Joe was a great father, you never doubted that.
You locked eyes, and your stomach made weird things. His eyes softened, and he got closer to you.
"Y/N can we talk about us?" he requested.
"What?" you were in panic mode "About what?"
"The divorce. I thought were struggling but I never listen to you" he said, seriously "Until you fill in the papers" Your heart sank. His lips were still pressed, the wrinkles on his forehead let you know he was stressed too. "I feel like we never had the time to stop and think what we're doing" he said softly.
The bump in your throat didn't let you speak properly. You tried anyway. "I try to speak to you, Joey. I tried to do many things to save our marriage. It didn't work, you were focused on football, and I felt utterly alone" you wipe a treacherous tear "We weren't a couple anymore. I didn't have a partner"
"Mommy! Daddy!" Julian got into the house all wet and hugged you. "Do you want to see how I jump into de pool?"
"Julian, mommy is here to pick you up" Joe explained "Go and tell your sister" Julian nodded and went happily to his sister. Joe attention was on you again. "We should speak about this with more time"
"Why? Are you trying to marry me again?" you joked frustrated he wasn't listening again. "Yes, I never wanted a divorce" he replied ardently. The confession hit you. "Then, why did you fill the divorce?"
"Because I was scared..." the footsteps didn't let him finish "I'll send you a message, please"
You left Joe's house confused and heartbroken. Even though, you couldn't avoid the hope growing in your chest.
Let me know if you want a second part. I think it would be cool.

I was wondering if you might write a story about reader having 3 cats and she is frustrated because no other boyfriend has gotten along with her cats until she started dating Eddie. Please! “Tea and Toast” is one of my favorites!
Little Voids
Eddie Munson X Fem!Reader
Word Count : 0.9k
Tumblr media
Warnings : not proofread, swearing, flirty eddie, kissing, just cute cat content, minor talk of mistreatment of cats, talks of witches.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
“Okay I’m going out now, you three be good okay?” You said, throwing your bag over your shoulder, giving each cat a fuss on the head. “Pepper, you’re in charge,” throwing a smile at the black cat, with slowly greying fur, you headed out.
You couldn’t help but grin when you saw a familiar face, Eddie was leaning against his van, wild curls blowing in the wind as always. “Hey you,” he said, matching your cheesy grin.
“Hey.” Letting your lips brush his in greeting, you felt his hands come to rest on your waist. “You look very cute today,” he complimented. Your face flushed at that, you and Eddie had been together for a few months now and you were still feeling those jitters.
“I got you something,” you said, pulling a small pouch out of your bag. “Oh yeah? What’s this?” Taking it in his hands, he pulled the tie, letting a ring fall out.
It was twisted silver around a deep blue stone, that appeared black when it wasn’t in the sun. “Oh baby, this is beautiful. You make this?” With a hum you nodded, pulling a chain over your head, you undid the clasp.
There lay Eddies skull ring, “Hey I was looking for that,” he laughed.
“Sorry, I didn’t know your size so,” your face was warm at the admission. “You’re so cute,” taking your face in his palms, he pulled you close.
Meeting your mouth with his own, you sighed into the kiss, pulling yourself closer, holding onto his t-shirt. “Keep kissing me like that, and we’re going to have to go up to your apartment,” Eddie mumbled against your lips.
“You could … if you want to.”
“Are you sure? You’ve kinda been weird about me ever coming up. You hiding a husband up there?” I laughed, shaking my head.
“You’re the only one I’m interested in Eds you know that.” He tried to hide his smile, but failed big time, unable to not share a toothy grin with you. “Then why haven’t you invited me up?”
Pushing away from him slightly, you slid the old and new ring onto his fingers. “Well we’d have company.”
“Oh?” He cocked his head to the side, “You’ve got a roommate?”
“Try three. Three incredibly cute, yet needy roommates.”
“So you’ve got a husband and kids?” he joked. “Try three kids, well they’re basically my kids.”
Eddies face scrunched in confusion. “I’ve got three cats, my little voids as I call them. Pepper, Salem and Binx.”
“You have cats?” You nodded, “And you never told me?!”
“Well I’ve had issues before when I’ve dated people. They didn’t like them, wanted me to get rid of them, so when I refused we’d just fizzle. Think you can tell a lot about people by the way they treat cats.”
“Babe! I love cats, oh my god we have to go be introduced.” Eddie grabbed your hand and pulled you back towards your apartment. “Eddie! We were meant to be going for lunch.”
“Forget lunch, this is so much more important.” Eddie bounced on his toes like a small child waiting for you to unlock the door. You were almost in shock at his excitement, most people weren’t fond of your cats.
But as you had learnt, Eddie Munson was not like most people.
Opening the door with a push, you were instantly met with the sweet sounds of chirping and meowing. “I know my loves, I’m back sooner than we thought.”
You heard the door close behind Eddie, who stood in awe, looking at the trio of cats. The three small creatures looked at him wide eyed. “Oh my god, they’re so cute.”
“Eddie this is Pepper, my oldest girl,” You stroked the salt and pepper cat, her big yellow eyes staring up at you.
“This is Salem,” the other female cat looked up at the mention of her name, big green eyes, a piece of her ear missing.
“And this is my boy, Binx. He’s the newest addition.” Binx was smaller in comparison, but still looked like his older sisters, only orange eyes and sharp features look much different.
“Oh they’re beautiful,” Eddie walked over quietly, holding his hand out so they could sniff. Binx walked over with ease, sniffing for a second then bumping his head into Eddies hand.
Pepper followed after, giving a soft purr when Eddie scratched behind her ears. Salem wasn’t too sure, the shyest of the trio, she sniffed Eddie then made her way to you.
“She not a fan of new people?”
“Not really, took her a while to get used to me. Found her about 3 years ago on Halloween, kids being real mean.
“It’s why I have three black cats, people think they’re witches cats. Don’t want the bad omen or whatever, but they’re just big fuzzballs.”
Salem jumped up onto your shoulder with ease, resting there. “Did you want to hang out here?” You asked Eddie, taking a seat next to him, on your second hand, emerald green couch.
“Would that be okay?”
“Course bubby. I’m glad you like them, I was real worried you’d do the same as others and tell me to get rid.”
“I’d never, they’re lovely.” He smiled as Binx climbed into his lap. “Baby Binx,” you spoke softly, “I was scared you wouldn’t wanna be with me, think I’m some cat obsessed witch.”
“You’re a very sexy witch.” Letting out a chuckle, I pushed a lock of Eddies hair behind his ear, “Thanks babe, you’re not too bad yourself.”
With a smile, his attention turned back to Pepper, who was meowing to get his attention. “God maybe it was a bad idea to introduce you.”
“Why’s that?”
“You’re gonna pay more attention to them than me!”
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
A/N : I really hope you enjoyed! I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to write, the writers block is real, I inspired this on my own cats lmao 🫶🏻
Please remember to adopt animals and love them always, they need us to keep them safe and sound 🤍
Thank you so much for reading!

Can we get a Mizu thing in like the soulmate universe? I don’t really care what soulmate trope it is, but reader and Mizu are soulmates and also complete and utter opposites
pairing: soulmate au!mizu x fem!reader
warning(s): light swearing
a/n: me running through ideas in my head, trying to find out if the red string of fate also pertains to japanese legends and low and behold
summary: mizu never believed in soulmates, never believed in the little red string around her pinky. that was, til she met you.
word count: 953 words / 5,164 characters
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
mizu never believed in "soulmates", per say, she always believed that you chose who you loved. love was set in stone, to her, love was made and festered from a bond.
not that she thought that could ever happen to her.
but she still didn't believe in it; no matter what the red string around her finger said or not.
"I will not be tied to... some string."
that's what she would always tell everyone, when they told her how lucky she was, that she someone out there--waiting for her to find them.
even though she didn't believe in it, she did sometimes wonder to herself: was this person she was so "destined" to be with, actually out there?
she didn't think they were, until she met you.
she'd stumbled across you during her travels, when she stopped on her way to tanabe island.
you were a woman, first and foremost. to which, she expected.
the thing that stunned her more, though--
--was that you were married, settled down with a child.
she knew it was you, because the string had stopped stretching. the strings length had shortened--and stopped right at your feet.
your eyes were wide as you looked at her, sparkling. your baby was cradled in your arms, your heart pumping underneath your kimono as you looked at her.
you never thought your husband was your soulmate. you always knew your soulmate was someone else; and yet you'd settled down with him, because that's what was best, wasn't it?
the cord connecting you had always been tangled, representing the boundaries that lay between the two of you. your marriage. her vow.
yet the cord would never break; and, maybe someday, the cord would untangle.
"hello," you whispered softly. your voice was soft; it was kind, it was gentle. "this--this is weird."
"I agree," her breath was short and a bit rapid, her voice raspy. she hadn't expected her string to be connected to such a beautiful woman.
"so.. my soulmate is a samurai," you nod to yourself. "and.. what is your name?"
"mizu," she replied.
"water. wave," you murmur to yourself. the meaning of her name seemed pretty fitting, given the situation. "(y/n)."
"well, it is nice to meet you, (y/n)," she bows to you. "but I must be on my way."
your eyebrows furrow, a bit, at her words, "you're going to leave? but were--"
she puts her hand up, stopping you mid sentence, "I know what we are.. considered, but I don't have time for any of this. I am dedicated to other prospects, and you seem to be settled down, even without your "soulmate". I must go."
you had just found your soulmate, your ticket out of your loveless marriage--the person you had been waiting for, for all these years, and she was just going to leave you?
"may I inquire what's so important?" you narrow your eyes, gently rocking your child in your arms.
"my vow," she slowly slides ff her glasses, to reveal the pools of blue that rest under them, "I have vowed to kill all white man at the time of my birth."
you take a few steps back.
she was half white; what you had been taught to be an onryō your entire life. and she was connected to your string.
she wasn't scary. she didn't seem all bad; dedicated, is all..
"right," you whisper, holding your young child close to your chest. it isn't that you thought mizu would hurt your child, but it was that instinctive and primal fear that you had, deep down.
seeing you worried that she'd hurt you, or your child, made her wince deep down. on the surface, she showed now reaction--she was used to it, at this point.
but for some reason, she cared what you thought about her. she had never been so concerned of her perception until this moment.
"maybe I will see you another time," she took steps backward, keeping her distance from you. "for now, this is our goodbye."
you took in a little breath, retreating back into the guarded fence of your house. it reminded her of her old home, a little. and she saw a little of herself in you.
but she supposed that made sense. you were connected to her by a little string.
"goodbye," you murmured, hearing your husband ruffling around in your house. you glanced over your shoulder, "I better go, then. before he sees me talking to you."
"right." she sighed. her feet were hesitant to leave you; for some reason she didn't want to. that damn string was doing something to her mind; she had the frustrated urge to snap it in half. but she knew it wouldn't break, no matter how hard she tried. "go on."
her blue eyes watched you retreat back into your house, sliding her glasses back on her face and making her way down the road.
her thoughts swirled with the image of you. that child held in your arms, your almost scared expression when she revealed her demon blue eyes.
she didn't want you to be scared of her. not in the slightest. for some reason, her heart dropped into her gut at the idea.
why did she all of a sudden care about this fucking string?
why did her heart drop thinking she could never have you? because she couldn't.
the string was tangled, the string would always be tangled, a knotted mess. a mess of knots that you, nor her, would ever be able to untangle.
there was so many things in your way; in her way to, maybe, having someone who cared for. and someone she could care for.
you'd just... have to wait and see.
When pregnancy takes over | Daemon X Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: based on this request: Hey, dear! if you are taking requests could i get a daemon x pregnant fem!reader, from discovery, to body changes, mood swings, weird cravings, difficulty finding a sleeping position, to delivery. Just him being a good husband and father and helping her regardless of the situation, with a lot of fluffy please?
warning: Cursing, child labor.
Daemon walks into the room he shares with you happy to be able to finally hold you in his arms after a long day having to listen to Otto Hightower go on and on about... Well, he did not remember. “Y/N?” he does not see you immediately and he scans the room and the adjoined bedroom but no trace of you. Neither can he find a note or something else that would point him in your direction. he reopens the door to the room and peaks around the corner in the hope of finding one of the servants or even better one of your maids.
However, the hallway was empty. He cursed under his breath as panic started to rise. You normally always left him a note or send someone to him to let him know where you were going to be. But he had nothing to go off now. He was wrecking his brain trying to figure out of you mentioned someone thing but as far as he knows you only mentioned going out riding but that was this morning, and you never were this late. Right? He was pacing the room trying to figure out where you could have gone. What if something happened to you?
“My prince?” As fast as he can he turns around to see one of your maids in the doorframe. Not remembering her name, he walks towards her. “Where is my wife? Tell me you have seen her!” “She went to the maester my prince, she left 15 minutes ago.” The maid’s eyes are wide while she is looking everywhere except at him words flowing from her mouth. The girl was starting to say something else, but Daemon just brushed past her running to the domain of the maesters nothing else than his wife on his mind.
Two guards were stationed in front of the door of the maester, guards he had assigned to her. At least he had found you however his panic did not subside. You would not have gone to the maester if it was not for something serious. He opens the door, and they slam against the wall. Both his wife and the maester look at them startled. The maesters hands are hovering on your stomach. A scowl comes on your face when you see Daemon standing there panting after having run all the way from your shared room to the basement where the maesters domain is.
“Daemon what are you doing here?” he slowly steps forward and stands opposite of the maester. His hand grasps yours and he slowly makes circles with his thumb across your hand. “I could ask you the same question?” you look up to the maester who nods before your attention is back on Daemon. “I have not had my monthly, I am late by two weeks.” His eyes find yours before meeting the maester as to double confirm. “I still need to do some tests, but I am quite sure the princess is expecting.” Daemon lifts you in his arm, curling you against his chest. “We are going to have a baby!” “Yes, my love we are going to have a baby.” you confirm while a happy tear makes its way down your face. Daemon takes your head between his hands while prepping your face with kisses. “We are having a baby.” He smiles and captures your lips.
___
Daemon was supposed to come back from a two-week trip. He was sent to deal with a lord that did not want to pay any taxes to the crown. The king had sent him after Daemon had created a little political. He had bashed in the head of a lord’s son who had made some remarks about you and Daemon had lost it. Slamming his fist in the arrogant man’s face and not stopping until the king’s guard had forcibly moved him off the man.
Normally if Daemon was supposed to come back from a trip you would have been waiting at the dragon pit for him. But with the recent development and the increased nausea, you opted to stay within the castle walls. Nestled into the couch with a blanket around the lower half of your body reading a book Daemon had brought for you. However, every few seconds your eyes would flit to the door checking if he was already here. Any time now he was supposed to walk through the door at least that’s what the maid said when she announced that Caraxes had been seen flying above Kings landing.
Sounds could be heard from behind the door and expectingly you looked up from your book to find your husband standing in the doorway. “Daemon!” you breathed out quickly standing up from the couch. The blanket pooled around your feet showing off the slight baby bump you had developed. You were now 16 weeks pregnant, and you had started to show quite a much more when he was away. His eyes draw to your stomach.
Daemon walks towards you fast but before he reaches you, he stops. Hesitantly he looks at you before breaching the last few steps between you. He carefully takes you into his arms. Hugging you to his chest before going down on one knee. His hands find your bump. You smile down at him, as he looks up at you amazed. “She has grown so much in so little time.” he kisses the bump and your hand rests in his hair. “How are you so sure it’s she?” you ask while enjoying the moment of seeing your husband so attentive and tenderly. “I just do.” You hit him softly laughing while kissing his forehead. “That’s not a reason.” He rises up and captures your chin with his thumb. “I am always right.” a cocky smile is resting on his face, and you can’t help but laugh out loud at these words.
“Love, you are almost never right.” He playfully slaps your behind before twirling you around. “You know I think your breast got bigger as well.” “Daemon!”
___
You sniffle after finally reading the last chapter of the book. The book you had been reading for days and it unexpectedly turned out to have a very sad ending. “Oh gods, not again.” Daemon signs from his chair across from you. Closing his own book and standing up from his chair. Carefully he lifts you up from your chair and places you back down on his lap. He was trying to console you and soothe you. His thumb circling on your back and the other thumb was brushing your cheek while he was talking nonsense to get you to stop crying. Your belly was just slightly in the way.
Against all odds Daemon has been very supportive when your mood swings started to hit you in full force. He had been supportive when you had started to cry when your favorite flavor of cake accidentally fell, or when you cried about Caraxes being chained down in the dragon pit with no other dragons who like him. Hell, he loved the moments when your anger shone through especially when that anger was not directed at him. He still talks about how you called Otto a cunt in front of the entire court when he had made an underhand comment about Daemon.
“I can’t help that I feel this emotional Daemon.” You hiccup while trying to escape his arms feeling guilty about showcasing your emotions. “I know love I know.” he keeps you within his arms pressing light kisses on your forehead. “You don’t know anything Daemon, this is all your fault.” Your anger is making its way to the forefront and with wide gestures, you gesture to your stomach. “It takes two to make a baby, love.” You hear Daemon try to not choke out a laugh at your expression of anger. “Yeah, but you are insatiable.” This time his laugh is full-blown.
When he calms down, he takes your face in between his hands and kisses you’re your anger melts off you and you melt against him. The reason why you cried, and the anger Daemon provoked in you long forgotten. As his hands brush away your tears you close your eyes. “Are you tired, love?” You nod and lower your head against his chest. “let’s get you to bed.” He carefully lifts you into his arms and walks towards the bed.
“Even if I get angry, I still love you.” You mumble against his chest. He laughs softly while sliding into the bed next to you. You lay your head on his chest. “I love you the most when you get angry, you get all fierce and riled up.”
___
You sighed and closed the book you were reading. Your husband did not look up from the book he was reading. Both you and Daemon had made it a habit to read in the solar while enjoying some tea. Or well in Daemon’s case some wine with it. To attract his attention without asking for it you sighed again. You did not want to be a bother to him again, but your cravings had made themselves known again and you could not exactly fly out yourself to get them. Not that daemon would ever allow it.
“Dae?” you asked softly when he did not look up from his book. He slowly lifts his head. His finger traces the paper of the book, and you have to mentally drag yourself away from his hand to concentrate on getting him to do your bidding. “You know those sweets we enjoyed in Lys, with the Pistache?” Daemon closes the book fully and his gaze lands on you. “I do, why? He looks uncertain at you slowly realizing what you were probably after. “Would you be able to get them for me?”
You stand up from the chair you were sitting in and go to stand behind him. your belly is slightly in the way when you lay your arms around his shoulder, hugging him from behind. You rest your head in the crook of his neck. Smelling his familiar scent as it engulfs you. “I can ask the kitchen to make them for you.” His hand finds one of yours as he connects them together. “Nooo, it’s not the same.” You whine as you place a kiss just below his jaw. Knowing that kissing that spot makes him weak.
“You don’t expect me to fly across the Narrow Sea to get you some sweets, are you?” you can feel he is smiling when he speaks the words, and you know that you almost have your way. “I mean, I am not the only one that wants them.” You smile at him and gently caress the now reasonable bump for emphasis. A bit longer and you would not be able to see your feet anymore. “The babe was not even there yet.” He stands up and pulls you flush against him. Kissing you before bending down to press a kiss against your belly. “Well let’s go then, up for a little ride?” You smile at him. “Of course.” You hook your arm through his and the two of you make your way to the dragon pit to sate the little dragon inside you.
___
You groan and for the thousand times this night, you try to turn around to find a comfortable position in the bed. A soft snoring sound comes from your right, and you promptly turn your back to it to block out the sound of Daemon sleeping so peacefully. You never knew you could be so jealous of somebody sleeping. But no matter what you did you could not find a comfortable position. The babe was kicking like it was running away from a dragon, and a burning feeling made its way up your throat every so often. You stared out of the window, and you could not decide which side was worse, the slow glow of the light streaming through the window indicating that it was in fact becoming morning or your husband sleeping.
Slowly you turn back on your back, and silently wish that you could lay on your stomach. However, a big bump had been restricting that movement for months now. An arm is slung over your belly. The little bastard inside of you immediately calms down. And you huff out a sigh of annoyance. “You should have woken me up sooner.” Daemon softly raps out in his morning voice as his thumb softly strokes your belly. “I did not want to wake you; you had a long day.”
‘It also my child, if you are suffering, I should be too.” His other arm sneaks underneath you and he pulls you against him. You rest your head on top of his chest and for the first time this night, you feel at peace. Your insides are silent, and your head is elevated enough to not feel the heartburn. “Thank you.” You yawn while closing your eyes. Daemon only hums and presses a kiss on your forehead. “Yeah, yeah get some sleep, before the maids are barging down our doors.
___
“Where the fuck is Daemon?” You rip the cloth away from your forehead, the cloth that only seconds ago was laid on your forehead by one of the maids. Another one was trying to console you by taking your hand. But you wanted none of it. At this moment in time, you could not stand anybody’s touch. The only touch you wanted had been banned from the delivery room. or to quote the old twat tasked with delivering the baby. “A delivery room is no place for a prince.” A prince he could be, but Daemon had known full well how to create that baby so the least he could do was to help you through it.
“Milady the delivery room is...” “yeah, not a place for a prince, I do not care, Lily go fetch him.” The maid in question dropped whatever she was doing before all but running out of the room. Another contraction hit and beads of sweat were gushing down your back and forehead. “My lady let me wipe it away.” You grunted through the pain. “No, no, I only want my husband.” As the contraction finally subsided you rested against the pillows.
“Milady it is time to start pushing.” you reopened your eyes after having closed them after feeling the last contraction ebbing away. “No, no not without my husband, I need Daemon.” You did not care that the words sounded desperate, but you needed him. So many women passed away in child labor or the consequences of it. There was no way you were going to spend your last possible moments without Daemon and if you survived, the first person you wanted to see your child was him. “Please milady be compliant it is the best for you and the babe.” You desperately shook your head, tears gathering. “I will be compliant when my husband arrives you old goat.”
The old goat in question sighed and moved a bit back to give me some space and busied himself with the making of a paste. Your own maid softly brushed the hair out of your face and with a little constraint, you were able to tolerate it instead of shaking her off. “Daemon?” you asked her softly. “Is coming milady do not fret.” You nodded and closed your eyes again, trying to rest a little before the next contraction would hit. Not so secretly wishing that this torture would end. If you survived this, he was not getting another child.
The doors of your room were dramatically thrown open, scarring everybody who was inside. Without opening your eyes, you knew who had just entered the room in his usual dramatic ways and you smiled. He had come. Your Targaryen prince was here. “My prince, I have tried to talk to milady, but she does not want to listen, a delivery room is no place for a prince.” You had never been this mad at a person before and if you could, you would have sacked the maester from his job, however, it was a little late for that as the babe was well on its way now. “I remember when I took my vows that I promise to be with her, wherever she goes I go, she wants me here, I will be here.” With that Daemon turned his back to the old goat and sat in the chair next to the bed.
His hand found yours, with his other hand he took the cloth from one of the maids and carefully caressed your forehead with it. “I am here love.” He softly kissed your lips when he saw the contraction hit. “He told me to be compliant.” You huffed when the next contraction ebbed away. Daemon let out a laugh and touched his forehead with yours. “Never become compliant love.” You laugh at him and the pain of being in labor slowly fades away.
Daemon was there for every push every contraction. Holding your hand, cracking jokes, wiping away the sweat and tears. At one point he moved behind you, so whenever the contraction was done you could rest against him. “You know I can see the little top of his head.” At this point, Daemon was hanging over you trying to get a glimpse of the baby. “Well, if his head is out then he can get himself out without bothering me.” You hissed when another contraction hit. “Just a few more pushes, just a few more.” He kisses your neck. Finally, with a last push, the baby slides out of you.
Tiredly you close your eyes, however not for long until you hear a tiny cry. Your little one is alive, strangely you feel empty without the babe, and you know you have to do some more pushing. You almost push him out of the bed. “Go, go look if the babe is healthy, I do not trust that old goat.” He smiles at you adoringly and gives you one more kiss before happily going to bother the maids who were tasked with cleaning the babe. You hear his chattering with the maids as he is hurrying them along so he can hold his child. Just as the maids are cleaning you up Daemon turns back to you with the babe in his arms. Daemon looked so attractive, with his happy smile on his lips, his hair all tousled up, his clothes wrinkled and the little one in his arms. It almost made you want another one.
“It is a boy it seems that I was wrong in my prediction, Y/N you gave me a healthy boy.” You laugh and stretch out your arms for him and the babe. “Can the woman who did all the work hold her son then?” He smiles and comes forward. “I don’t know, I could argue I did all the work.” You huff and shove his shoulder softly. He laughs and kisses you before settling the baby in your arms. “He is wonderful.” You softly touch the cheek of your son while looking up at your husband. “Thank you for standing by me during my pregnancy with all my demands.” “You deserved those demands, but I do not want to see the city of Lys for a little while I cannot eat one more of those sweats.”
Dream a Little Dream of Me masterlist
A month. She had to wait a fucking month to recover despite her persistence to the chief of being just fine. Getting sent home was not how she wanted things to go. On the other hand, maybe Joseph was right, she probably needed a break. A time to relax and escape from the unruly reality of the world. It’ll be fine, right?
TW: mentions of death, and a bit of stalking but it’s harmless (i think) - xoxo
— September 18, 1996. Location: Minneapolis, MN
It will be an excruciating wait until Laswell can get back on her feet. Reluctantly, under her chief's command, Joseph insisted that she take this time to recover after returning scratched up, worn out, and not having any recollection of how she ended up in the middle of the woods when the helicopter arrived. The chief was more than desperate to give Kate a break.
Amnesia, they had said. Probably caused by the head injury she had sustained when she fell. At least that’s what the doctors at the medical wing kept telling her when she was asked various questions of what she could recall about the event. She had been running away from the attackers, grabbing everything she could before she was bolting into the woods, and after that– there was nothing. A painful ring in her ear could be heard every time she tried to hark back to what might have unfolded that fateful night. She came up blank with every try. It was torment, a hole of anguish making itself comfortable in her chest. A long list of paperwork, meetings, and more paperwork awaited her back at the agency upon her arrival, not even getting a chance to argue that there was no need for her to be on extended leave, that she was fine.
“You're a lucky woman, Laswell. A damn right good analytics as well,” The chief had told her back at the airport, "I need you to be in your best shape if I want you back on the field.”
She didn’t feel lucky at all. She escaped but at what cost? Although the people she worked with weren’t necessarily close to her, lives were taken away— families broken apart. There’s no time for grief, the mission comes first. It always does. She said nothing in return if the slight slump in her shoulders wasn't obvious enough. With that, the chief excused himself, lips pressed to a tight line just as he disappeared through the automatic doors.
Pinching the bridge of her nose, she turned, suitcase in hand as she walked to catch her flight back to Minneapolis. It wasn’t a long flight from Virginia, her mind drifting away into a haze of thoughts she had been pondering about these last two days. She had fallen asleep midway through the flight and before she knew it, the plane had already landed. Rubbing the sleep off her eyes, she got up, grabbing her duffel bag from the storage bins. Dread filled her once she stepped out of the terminal building.
“Home sweet home.“ She sarcastically said to herself. It's anything but sweet.
It’s not like she hated coming back home. It worked as a good getaway from where she usually stayed back in D.C. No stacks of papers, no meetings, no missions, no calls to family members to break the news that their husbands, wives, daughters, or sons won’t be coming back home. A setting opposite to what she’s used to. It made Kate feel weird at times— out of place. Those were thoughts to dwell on for later on restless nights. In the meantime, she has to catch a damn taxi to get back to her old flat.
As soon as she closed the door behind her, the woman let out a groan, throwing her duffel bag carelessly on the wooden floor while rubbing the back of her neck. She was beyond exhausted. The painkillers she took on the way here must have kicked in earlier than she anticipated. The pain in her leg would come and go despite the gunshot wound only leaving her with a small scar besides the continuous ringing in her ear. It was odd the more she thought about it. Wounds like these don’t just heal in a week, especially if you are stuck in the middle of fuck-nowhere.
Shaking her head, Kate took a good look around her small apartment. It looked the same as how she left it months ago. A bit of dust here and there but it was nothing a good clean couldn't fix. She had taken some paperwork home regarding the mission and had looked through them a thousand times to find anything that could magically refresh her memory. It was useless. Fixing herself a cup of coffee she settled on the couch, spreading the documents on her almost too small table with furrowed eyebrows.
‘Why? Why couldn’t she remember?’
“Shit,” The sun had gone down by the time she stopped trying to get answers to her never-ending questions. Closing the folder rather angrily, she took the cup of coffee to throw down the drain. It had turned cold and left forgotten the second she sat down. She was fighting sleep at this point, dragging her body towards the bathroom and exiting it thirty minutes later with her skin feeling raw. Draping the towel over her neck, she made a beeline towards her room where she immediately let out a groan of content once her body hit the soft sheets. It felt nice as the woman ran her fingers through the fabric. She wasn’t sure if the antibiotics were the ones to lure her to sleep or the familiar scent coming off her blankets. She hasn’t washed them since the last time being here.
That night, Laswell dreamt of being in the woods again.
“How long are you going to be in town for?” Her mom said from the other side of the line.
She had been rudely woken up from the best sleep of her life to the sound of her phone vibrating on the nightstand beside her. Her first thought was to ignore it but the damn thing kept beeping. Who the fuck would be calling her so early in the morning? Letting out a huff, Laswell sat up from the confines of her bed, snatching the flip phone off the counter to see who it was. Eyes bleary and unfocused as she scanned the contact name on the screen. ‘Mom’ it read. Squinting her eyes in confusion, she pressed the left button and brought the phone to her ear.
She regretted making that decision now that she’s been on the phone with her mom for more than an hour hearing her nagging and complaining about how she should visit them more often, that they missed her. She almost lost count of how many times she had to remind her mother that it was a difficult thing to do when you work for the government. She stuck to just apologizing if she didn’t want to hear her mother go on a whole debate about how she had ruined her life. She has no time for that, almost letting out a scoff at her empty words. They did not miss her.
“ –ello? Are you there?” The older woman's voice had pulled her back to reality, blinking down at the spoon swirling around the dark liquid as she brought the cup to her lips, the taste of caffeine overtaking her taste buds. “Yes, Mom, I heard you. Joseph gave me a month-long leave.” She announced. Shaking her head at the possibility that she might be stuck with her parent’s continuous pestering. ‘She is really the greatest daughter in the world.’
“Oh well, that’s just wonderful! Maybe you can come by some other day for dinner, it’ll be great.” Her mom said. The excitement in her tone was a bit too forced for Laswell to believe her. She knew that if she did come by for dinner, it would just end in an argument and pile up with the other times their meetings have ended in complete chaos. “Maybe.” She answered, a tense silence making itself known between them upon her monotone response to her mother’s suggestion to ‘bond’. It was awkward after that, her mom making up a half-assed excuse that she had to get ready to meet some of her friends before the call ended.
She won’t be attending dinner with her parents or calling each other anytime soon. Not that she ever did anyway.
Soon, the cold air from the mornings disappeared and the warmth of the afternoons rolled in. It was a cycle. A restless cycle that kept itching the back of Laswell’s brain as the days passed. She had looked over the papers every day, in hopes of catching something she had missed, a singular clue that would create a spark of remembrance in the crevices of her hippocampus. She came up with nothing.
The only abnormal thing she has gotten out of her little ‘scavenger hunt’ was a damn migraine and the same dream every night. She’s in the woods, the same one from that day, following a ceaseless path that seems to take her nowhere but her feet seem to have a mind of their own as if they have been here before, as if they knew all along where this nameless destination is. She wakes up in a cold sweat before she finds out.
She had initially shrugged it off as a result of her fall but the more she went outside to simply enjoy the breeze of the wind, the cheers and cries of children running around the local playground, a woman walking her dog, or even to just grab a bite from the coffee shop across the street, a feeling had poisoned her brain that someone has been following her, watching her. With every glance she took over her shoulder, there was no one, even though she had no doubt and was positive that she saw a questionable shadow from the corner of her eye. Had they come back to get her? Close the deal and seal it shut so she can just be another piece of paper among others?
She wasn’t so sure anymore. She felt like she was going insane the more time passed.
It was a rainy day when the ringing in her ear became too unbearable, palms over her ears in an attempt to make the pain go away and curled up against the cushions of her couch beside the window.
Tap, tap, tap.
She was fine a few hours ago. Woke up at the usual time, made herself breakfast (a cup of coffee), and planted herself on the couch to go over documents, emails, and continued to ignore her mother’s calls. It wasn’t on purpose. She just had her hands full, that’s all. She must have overestimated her capabilities of spending long periods of time in the same sitting-hunched position. Her age was getting to her.
She had taken her medicine already but by the looks of it, it didn’t seem to be working out for her. Letting out a low groan through her gritted teeth, she moved her head to the side to get a better view of the outside. It wasn’t necessarily pouring down, the repetitive noise of droplets hitting wood and trickling down glass soothed her discomfort for just a few seconds as she watched the cars pass by.
Tap, tap, tap.
It was getting dark, the moon creeping its way above the horizon, a good thing knowing that the brightness of the sun would just make the state she was already in, much worse. She doesn’t know how long she had stayed there. Maybe half an hour before she dozed off and had been woken up by that crawling feeling that someone was around. A presence. Sitting up a bit straighter, she peered through the window, rain still falling from the sky created a small mist in the air, but she saw it. She saw you.
An unknown gravitational force had made Laswell bolt up from her spot, not even caring to put on her shoes before she unlocked the door and sprinted outside. She didn’t know what had made her run through the rain so carelessly, the wet dirt and grass digging into her bare feet, just like that day. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead from exhaustion, just like that day. A sense of desperation and relief once she saw the only thing that had saved her from meeting her ultimate death. The trees, the manor, the sweet smell of your sheets, the tea, you. It was you, standing in front of her below the moonlight and the rain. It had been a constant battle these last few days trying to figure out what was true or not but at that moment, she knew. It had been you all along.
You said nothing, eyes peering at her with that same intensity as that night. If Laswell noticed your trembling hands, she didn’t mention it.
The ringing had finally stopped, a clump in her throat making her utter the only three words she could think of.
“I know you.”
A/N: the prologue has come to an end, woohoo!! >< you guys will be seeing a lot of the boys later on when i start working on incoming chapters! for now, please enjoy and again, any feedback is welcomed! 🍂
a/n: this is v selfship coded. also i know it’s not thanksgiving yet but i had this thought the other night and had to write it down. also i can’t wait for thanksgiving dinner. literally drooling rn thinking about it ᡣ𐭩
Tumblr media
“Look baby, I’m starting to show.”
You turn to the side in front of the mirror, your hands gently placed on the upper and lower curve of the bump of your belly.
“I’m at that stage where people are going to think I’m getting fat,” you sigh as your husband finally walks up besides you. Shoyo meets your eyes and matches your sigh, except his is because he’s reached his wits end with you.
“What on earth are you talking about? You’re not fat, princess.”
He gestures to the dining room you two previously emerged from as he continues.“It’s Thanksgiving. We’ve all got food babies tonight. I’d actually be a little disappointed if you didn’t. I worked hard on that creamed corn.”
“And it was fucking delicious,” you kiss his cheeks in appreciation, “but stop changing the subject and just pretend with me, Sho.”
“Pretend what?”
“That I’m pregnant. That’s the fun part about having a food baby, looking at your reflection and imagining you’re three months into your pregnancy.” Your hands remain on your stomach, moving around the food bump. “Don’t I look cute?”
“You are one weird woman,” he mumbles but moves behind you anyways. His arms come around your waist and his hands land on yours at the same time he rests his chin on your shoulder.
“You look good pregnant. Very cute.”
“Right,” you wink at him in the reflection of the mirror before you.
“Sexy even.” Shoyo pulls you closer by the hips, enjoying the feel of your ass against his front.
“O-oh.”
It’s like holding you threw him out of his post-thanksgiving dinner haze. Feeling your bump, although not real, had him fantasizing about a world where you truly were pregnant. A world where a mini version of you and him was growing. A world where he put that baby into you. Fucked it into you himself. And now he wanted to make that fantasy a reality.
“Shoyo darling, what’s going on in that mind of yours?”
“Just thinking about you, and me,” you felt him gently kiss the side of your neck, lips dragging downard as he mumbled against your skin, “And me in you.”
“Behave. We’re not home Sho.”
“What if I don’t want to pretend anymore?” he ignored you, “What if you let me put a baby inside you? Right here, right now?”
The controlled front you were putting on was slowly breaking with every word he whispered into your ear. His voice, gravelly and thick with want had your knees trembling. But when he nibbled on your earlobe, careful to avoid your earrings, you almost wanted to take his offer.
That is until Natsu walked out of the kitchen and into the hall looking for you two. Hearing her voice calling you back for dessert woke your conscience up. That’s right. You’re in your in laws house. You absolutely can not fuck your husband against the hallway walls with the family just two doors down.
But Shoyo’s mind has been set, and when he wants something, he’ll get it. It’s how he got you in the first place. So instead of joining your in laws for dessert, Shoyo yells out something about you feeling sick and pulls you out to the car with him.
The drive home is fast and maybe he runs past one or two red lights. It’s not his fault, he just really really needs to get home right now. There’s a part of him that desperately needs to be inside you.
You ask him about the dessert he’ll be missing out on—you know his favorite part of the holiday is the cherry pie and ice cream—but he just waves it off with some comment about how he’ll be having a different type of dessert tonight.
And dessert he did have, because filling you up over and over again just wasn’t enough for him. He had to taste himself from your sweet hole before starting all over again. He was determined.
Tonight he would get you pregnant.
(Upon popular request (really, thank you so much for the amazing response!), a second part to Your New Family! Where Sirius finds out who that stranger in the restroom actually was😁)
Part 1: Your New Family
Pouring his heart out in the loo might not have been Sirius’ best moment, but at least that kind stranger managed to somewhat reduce his anxiety about meeting Remus' parents. Until he sees Remus' father, that is.
Your New Son
As Sirius approaches their table, he sees Remus is not alone. An elderly woman has joined him. She has a round face framed with dark blond curls interspersed with streaks of grey, and big, honey-coloured eyes. Remus’ eyes.
Remus’ mum.
She must’ve gotten here early. Shite. Shite. And Sirius was at the loo the entire time! No doubt she already thinks he’s totally weird, dammit.
Sirius rushes towards them. “I’m so sorry I kept you waiting!”
“Oh my goodness,” Remus’ mum says as she turns around. “Could this be your Sirius?” She gets to her feet and takes Sirius’ hands in hers, but holds him at arm’s length so she can study him properly. “Look at you! Aren’t you a properly handsome young man! Remus has been going on about it, of course. ‘Mum, he’s so lovely. Mum, his hair is so pretty. Mum, his eyes are so nice.’ I assumed he was just smitten,” she turns back to Remus and smiles brightly at him. “But you really got yourself quite a looker, didn’t you, Remus?”
Remus beams at them proudly. “I sure did!”
Sirius, a little overwhelmed, wants to give a compliment in return. He’s aiming for something along the lines of ‘I always found Remus’ eyes beautiful, and now I can see who he gets it from’, he really is, but what comes out is “I like Remus’ eyes on you” which is just so weird.
Unfortunately, his remedying attempt does not quite make it better. “I mean, not Remus’ eyes. They were yours first! But you gave them to Remus. Not your actually eyes, of course. You still have eyes, after all.”
Remus’ mum looks puzzled, as she slowly says “...yes. I do have eyes.”
It’s only then that Sirius realizes Remus’ father isn’t there. Immediately, the worst-case-scenarios cross his mind. Remus’ dad has already decided he hates Sirius and doesn’t even want to meet him. Remus’ dad has looked up Sirius’ family and now wants nothing to do with him. Remus’ dad is not okay with Remus being in a same-sex relationship (which is absolutely ridiculous, since Remus has been out since he was fifteen, and his parents have been nothing but loving and supportive, but in Sirius’ anxiety-riddled state, even Remus’ dad changing his entire belief system overnight seems completely possible).
It is at that moment Remus’ mum says “You must excuse my husband. He just had to go to the restroom.”
Sirius lets out a sigh of relief. Right, the restroom.
The restroom...
Wait.
The restroom.
Oh. Oh.
Oh no. Oh no, no, no.
“Ah, there he is!” Remus’ mum says, and as Sirius turns around he feels dread settle in his stomach.
And indeed. The man approaching them is the very same man Sirius just trauma-dumped all over in the restroom. The man has a smirk on his face. The exact same smirk Remus has when he thought of a particular wicked prank. Oh yes, he definitely knew all along.
“I’d already reckoned you’re Sirius!” The man says, reaching out a hand. “It’s about time we were probably introduced! I’m Lyall Lupin, Remus’ father.”
All colour must’ve drained from Sirius’ face as he shakes Mr Lupin’s hand. “I... You... I was... And you were... I didn’t... Oh my god. I’m so sorry! I can’t believe I...”
“Sirius,” Remus says in a levelled tone. “What did you do?” The exact same tone he uses when Sirius and James call him in the middle of the night to come pick them up somewhere.
“Nothing bad, nothing bad!” Remus’ dad quickly says, laughing while holding up his hands. “He just told me how anxious he was to be meeting his boyfriend’s parents for the first time. But only because he loves the boy so much!”
Remus lets out a small gasp before turning to Sirius with wide eyes. Eyes that Sirius is purposely not meeting, looking everywhere but at Remus.
“Oh,” Remus’ dad says, looking from Remus to Sirius and back to Remus. “You two haven’t...”
“Sirius!” Remus exclaims, smacking his arm. “I can’t believe the first time you say that you love me it’s to my bloody father!”
“Well, I did not know that!” Sirius says defensively. “I thought it was to a stranger in the loo!”
“That does not make it better!”
As the boys bicker, Hope wraps her arms around Lyall’s upper arm and rests her head against him. “So,” she says softly. “We approve?”
“His feelings for Remus are very sincere,” Lyall replies. “And I honestly think he’ll do anything for him.”
Hope lets out a content sigh as she looks at the couple. “I’m glad.”
“He seems kind and genuine,” Lyall adds. “And also, we’re going to have to adopt him as our second son.”
Hope lifts her head to look at her husband with a raised eyebrow. “You’ve already decided that?”
“He never had a real family,” Lyall says. “He claims he wants us to like him purely for Remus’ sake, but there’s more to it than that. I don’t think he’s ready to admit it, maybe doesn’t even realise it, but he’s craving it for himself as well. A family, a home.”
“Well, then he has chosen the right in-laws,” Hope says, accepting Lyall’s judgement without question as she lays her head back against his arm.
Then she chuckles. “My, my. That was some toilet break, huh?”
You Scare Me, Professor: Chapter 37
Tumblr media
Summary: The reader is taking graduate classes at a local university in the wooded upstate New York. She is drawn to her professor, Dr. Joel Miller, though she is also inherently aware that he has something dark about him that she can't quite put her finger on. As the reader's attraction grows deeper, she has to decide whether to endure the danger or run away as fast as possible.
Pairing: Professor Joel Miller x f!reader
Woodbridge University. Another frigid February evening. Another text to James that I didn't want to send. I had to give it to him, he was being a really good friend in light of the awkward interaction the last time we had seen one another.
I waited in my car until I saw him crossing the parking lot and braced myself as I got out.
“Hey,” I greeted, “Thanks for meeting me here. I'm sorry to bother you like this.”
“It's no problem.” James shrugged with a genuine smile. “Not like I have much to do most nights anyway.”
I nodded and looked down, and then back up. “Are we okay?” I asked.
He nudged me with his elbow. “We’re good. I, uh.. I just hope I didn't put a damper on our friendship.” James made a face. “I was bummed out at first when you weren't interested but that wore off a little bit and then I was just kind of bummed that I might've ruined our friendship.”
I took a deep breath, feeling some relief from his response. Finally, someone wasn't mad at me. And this was the guy that I had assumed, of the three of them, would be.
“I'd really like to remain friends,” I told him. “It's just bad timing, I think because I'm with somebody and-”
“Don't even explain. You don't owe me anything. Let's just, for my pride’s sake, pretend it didn't happen.” James shrugged and I smiled at him with a nod.
“Okay,” I then added, “Thank you.”
“Thanks for not making it weird.”
James and I strolled toward the building and I squinted my eyes toward the entrance when I spotted a familiar face. Our eyes met briefly and he did a double take.
“Will?” I gave a wave and he waved back.
“Who's that?” James asked.
“Oh, that's..” I caught myself. Carol’s husband-to-be. Dr. Miller’s future brother-in-law. Shit, I didn't know how to explain how I knew him.
“Hey hun, how are you?” He greeted me with a quick hug and then extended his arm to shake James’s hand. “Will Brennan.”
“James.” He gave a nod.
“I just had a quick chat with one of the guests of honor,” Will explained with a grin. “Will you be playing hookie tomorrow night and Friday, as well?”
His words were vague enough, though my eyebrows lifted and I suspected Will got onto the same page as me. He cleared his throat and glanced at James, “Family gathering,” he added.
“Yes.” I nodded at him and smiled big and borderline awkwardly at my friend. “I already took work off.”
“Great.” Will smiled and then rolled his wrist to glance at his watch. “My lovely bride is late.” He looked back and forth between the two of us, “We’re here to see a former student perform next door in the strings quartet. Brilliant young woman. Excellent musician.” He motioned toward the theater.
“That's nice.” I smiled and nodded, wanting to chat him up some more about the wedding; but I couldn't with James standing right there.
“Ahh.. there she is now.” Will huffed a laugh and shook his head when he spotted Carol’s car practically whipping to a screeching halt in a parking space nearby. “Give her a ticket for that, will ya?” He tapped James with his fingers and gave a laugh.
James snickered and looked at me. “You'll be alright now?”
“Yeah, thank you.”
“No problem.” He added to Will, “Nice meeting you.”
“You, too.” Will gave a quick wave and then wiggled his eyebrows as Carol approached.
“Traffic!” She claimed, making him chuckle.
“I'm sure that was it.” They shared a quick kiss and then Carol realized I was standing there and leaned in for a hug.
“Are you getting excited?” I asked, glancing briefly at Will and then more directly at Carol.
She gave a nod. “The last few nights I’ll be spending as a Miller.” Carol looked at Will, “It took me long enough.” Her eyes flashed back to meet mine, “I was sort of a lone wolf for most of my life. I never met a man I wanted to spend all my free time with.”
“I don’t know how I pinned down this free bird,” he admitted with a grin.
I smiled at their interaction. They seemed very much in love and it made it all the more special, in my eyes, that Carol had never wanted to settle down with anyone until she met Will. I was thrilled to know she was getting her happy ending, especially after a rough start in her younger life.
“I’m very happy for you both,” I said, “And I’m honored I get to attend.”
“I just stopped in and said hi to Joel,” Will told her.
“I’m sure he’s working hard.” Carol said in a sisterly, eye-rolling fashion, and thenl turned to me and pointed her finger in my direction, “Keep him on his toes.”
“I will,” I promised with a grin.
They both smiled and nodded before Will checked his watch again. “Ready, my dear?”
“Ready.” Carol linked her arm through his and they gave a final farewell before heading down the lighted walkway toward the school’s theater.
I bid them a farewell and texted Dr. Miller to let him know I bumped into his sister and Will. And then Dr. Stevenson’s class dragged on for the next hour-and-a-half. I was partially focused on the material, partially focused on Trevor and partially focused on leaving the area the following day for the wedding.
With ten minutes left in class, I texted James. I checked my phone every minute or so but he never responded. As I was walking out I sent a second one to see if he was around.
Trevor passed me by without so much as a look. The rest of the class filtered out one by one and made their way to wherever they were going.
I glanced down the hall toward the brown door that led into Dr. Miller’s lecture hall. To kill a few minutes in hopes that James would respond, I wandered down and put my ear to the door.
Inside, I heard Dr. Miller’s muffled voice as he carried on about something similar to what we had learned the night before. I smiled to myself. I couldn't wait to see him now that both of us were past the little spat we’d had the night before.
I glanced down at my phone and when I saw James hadn't gotten back to me, I decided to be loyal to the agreement I made with Dr. Miller and called campus security.
“Hi, my name is (Y/N). I'm really sorry to bother you, but is there someone available to walk me to my car? I just don't feel safe at night since the incidents have happened.” I paused as they responded, “Thank you. I'm in the psychology building.”
I put my pride to the side and wandered up to the main floor. Two other young women were huddled around a cell phone laughing by the entrance and just outside on a bench someone sat alone with the hood of a black Northface jacket pulled up. It was Trevor.
He leaned forward with his elbows on his knees and his thumbs typed away on his phone.
“Shit.” I whispered the word to myself and waited for campus security to show up. When a small white car with a single, orange flashing light pulled up, I wasn't sure if it was for me or not. When the security officer got out and started looking around, I pushed open one of the doors that led out into the cold and waved a hand. I didn't look back at Trevor.
“You called?” The tall, thin man asked.
I nodded. “I didn't expect a car. Thank you for coming out.”
“No problem. Where are you parked?”
“At the back end of the lot over there.” I motioned with my finger and saw the man make a subtle face, most likely because my car was so close, but otherwise smiled and nodded.
When I hopped in the car, I turned and made eye contact with Trevor, who looked away immediately and paid full attention to his phone.
“Thanks,” I said again to the driver. “I usually call James to walk me but he didn't pick up.”
“Oh, you're the one.” The man huffed a laugh and then realized what he had said aloud. When I didn't say anything he added, “James is off duty.”
“He walked me to class earlier.”
His coworker shrugged. “Sounds like he’s.. always willing to help you out.”
The car stopped beside mine and I opened the door. “Thank you.” I have a nod.
“Anytime.” The two of us exchanged a wave and I climbed into my car. Thankfully, my last night at Woodbridge, for the time being, was relatively uneventful.
I wish I could have said the same for my final day of work before the trip. It wasn't long after morning coffee that one of my work friends made the announcement to all of us - one that was dreadfully haunting and raw and real.
“They found another body at Woodbridge!”
it's that time, that ThoughtD: thoughts on HotD time. this episode, season 2 episode 4, was a lot, so i suppose we should get to it
after hearing her speak for a bit longer, i realize that Alys Rivers does not have an american accent as it seemed to me last episode. she just has a british accent that happens to be rhotic
Alys Rivers has such a weird energy to her, it's very compelling
personally, if i were Daemon, i would never drink anything she gave me, but that's just me
for those who don't recall, in season 1 Rhaenyra went on a tour of the realm looking for a potential husband. the one scene we saw of this was one of her suitors leaps onto another and repeatedly stabs him. that suitor is the Blackwood who meets with Daemon this episode
it didn't really occur to me until now that I don't think Rhaenyra ever names a hand, even in the book
i'm glad they've introduced cole being referred to as the Kingmaker, considering it's the one thing that's said about him in the main series (a feast for crows, specifically). it doesn't actually make much sense, since cole really had very little to do with Aegon becoming king, but that problem also exists in Fire and Blood
i sympathize with Aegon quite a bit in this one. while Alicent is correct that he's not an expert and should listen to the advice of his council, the fact that he's never consulted and is kept out of the loop is absolute bullshit
weird interaction between Rhaenys and Alyn (or is that one Adam? i can never keep the names straight). of course, in the book Adam and Alyn don't show up until after Rhaenys dies, so the awkwardness is avoided
i'm glad the characters acknowledge how insane the meeting between Rhaenyra and Alicent is. especially if she's not going to establish a clear chain of command in her absence
i really like the look of Sunfyre
no one has any right to get mad at Aegon for not following the plan when he wasn't told the plan. that's cole and Aemond's fault
interesting choice for Aemond to kill Luke by accident but burn Aegon on purpose
Rhaenys what are you doing that is Vhagar get the fuck out of there
less comments on this episode than usual. i mostly just found it very impactful, the battle of Rook's Rest really changes things going forward. can't wait for next week
Heartstrings Entangled
Chiyori has never been smooth. Clumsy? Yes. And her clumsiness is exactly what gets her into a very precarious situation with Mr. Arctic himself. Chiyori isn’t getting any closer to facing Satoru but she knows more than anything, she can’t push her feelings for Nanmai away either.
Chapter three in this series.
Chapter 1 here
Chapter 2 here
Pairing: Nanami Kento x Chiyori (fxreader)
Word count: 1.3k
Warnings: None, please free to leave your thoughts and comments. I would love to know how you feel about the series so far; .xx
Tumblr media
After what happened with Nanami at the welcome meeting, Chiyori refused to leave her office. She unpacked her office belongings, making sure to hang up the framed photo of her and Satoru. Will he hate me? Does he love him? She worked until it was time for lunch, so engrossed in her work, she hadn’t noticed Ellie at her office door wanting to invite her to lunch. Chiyori came to learn Ellie was in the office right next to hers. She dressed pretty modestly for a woman who was only two years older than her. Her nails were neatly manicured and the pearls around her neck and a certain gleam to them that Chiyori had half a mind to ask her if she polishes her pearls before she puts them on.
“Believe it or not, the men here aren’t total pricks.” The way Ellie spoke did not match her aesthetic in the slightest. “John is kind, Adam is a little weird, I would stay away from him actually. Joey, well I don’t know much about Joey but Reggie loves him.”
ChiyoriI was honestly grateful for Ellie and all her insight. “And Reggie is the husband right?” “Yes! He’s that handsome specimen right over there!” Chiyori wasn’t too sure what to expect when looking at Ellie’s husband but he seemed like the perfect match for her. The way they were giving each other flirty eyes across the office lunch room said “you know nothing of our relationship.” They’re cute. As Chiyori watched them she found her mind wandering back to Mr. Arctic and she thought a little harmless digging wouldn’t hurt. Was “work Nanami” different from the Nanami that Satoru knows?
“What about him, what’s his deal?” She asked, toying with her food trying to remain aloof while she nudged her head towards Nanami.
“Ah, Nanami san. An enigma to most. I’ve seen both men and women throw themselves at him and he wouldn’t even bat an eye. Total gentlemen though and pulls his weight around the office, not to mention the group projects.” Of course he’d be perfect.
 “We’re adults here, we’re still subjected to group projects?”
 “Nothing says teamwork like late hours in the office to close a deal.”
“I guess that’s fair. Is he married?”
“Nope, I’ve only ever seen a white haired man, equally as appealing to the eye, show up once or twice and each time I swear I thought Nanami was going to pop a blood vessel.” A white haired man? Could it be Satoru? Why do I even care? Chiyori knew she should’ve dropped it but curiosity was eating at her. She pulled out her phone and looked to see if she had a picture of her sorcerer easily accessible.
“Hey Ellie, the white haired man you mentioned, any chance it was him?” Ellie examined the photo in awe. Her expression told Chiyori her suspicions were correct.
“Is that your husband?”
“Ew, no, that’s my best friend. I may or may not have already met Nanami but I didn’t make the best impression.”
“You saw Nanami Kento outside?! A rarity indeed.”
“I don’t think he likes me very much. I tried to make up for it by the end of the night but judging by the look he gave me at my welcome meeting, not only does he remember me, he very much feels disdain towards me.”
“Wait, what happened?”
“That story is for another time, I have to get back to work.”
“Alright fine, but are you sure it was disdain? The man keeps to himself, but he just doesn’t seem the type.”
“If not disdain, then what? Trust me, he hates me.”
Chiyori grabbed her garbage and forgotten coffee to head towards the trash. Not noticing her surroundings, she turned and hit a wall, that wall being Nanami Kento. Her coffee spilt all over his chest.
“I am so sorry, Nanami.”
“You forget your formalities.” He doesn’t seem at all bothered by the coffee and more annoyed that Chiyori didn’t address him properly. Hearing his voice clearly in the light of day sent shivers down her spine.
“Huh? We should grab a towel or it'll stain.”
“It’ll be fine, excuse me.”
“Don’t do that, let me help.” Chiyori grabbed Nanami’s arm and dragged him to the office kitchen area and got to work on finding a towel. She searched through several cabinets and drawers before she found what she was looking for.
“Perfect! Now, if you have another shirt, you can change into it but this will look worse before it looks better. I used to work in a kitchen and doubled as a server when I was in school and I learned all sorts of cool tricks.” She was rambling and couldn’t find the will to stop. Being this close to Namani made her nervous. She couldn’t look him in the eye.
“I’m really sorry. I should’ve been paying attention to where I was going.” Namami doesn’t speak. Instead he grunts.
“What did you mean before? About formalities?”
“You should refer to me as Nanami San.” This man seriously hates me.
“Right, of course, I’m sorry.”
“You apologize a lot.”
“Do I? Well now I want to say it again because of how many times I’ve already said it.” Chiyori laughed hoping he’d join in but it’s silent. It’s silent and Chiyori can’t look at him. It’s silent and she can’t look at him and she’s rubbing his chest with a wet towel. She could feel his steel gaze burning a hole through her skull. Insufferable.
“Should be good now, you know, once it dries.”
Without another word Chiyori turned and practically ran back to her office. She stayed there far past normal work hours. She was mortified and was hoping she didn’t run into anyone from the office. If she was lucky, she’d make it to her apartment in one piece. Chiyori had made such a fool of herself in front of Nanami. She couldn’t shake why she cared so much to begin with. He’s gay for heaven's sake! Trying to rid her mind of these intrusive thoughts she locked up and headed for the train.
Once she made it home, Chiyori tried to focus on anything other than her guilt but she felt as though the universe was hell bent on making her face feelings. Satoru had called twice and twice she ignored his call. When he called for a third time she knew he wasn’t going to stop until he spoke to her. She had no choice but to pick up his call.
“Hey you.” She spoke softly into the phone.
“Tough first day?” There wasn’t a hint of amusement in his voice.
“Something like that.”
“How welcoming was Kento? I told him if he didn’t take care of you I would kick his ass.” Chiyori stiffened.
“You knew he worked there?”
“Of course I knew.”
“And you didn’t think that was something I should know?”
“Why does that piece of information matter, Chi?” There it is, the amusement is back in his tone.
“Don’t fuck with me right now, Satoru.”
“Okay, crabby. We’ll talk about it tomorrow, you need some rest.” Chiyori winced. How dare she speak to him like that when he wasn’t the one in the wrong.
“I’m sorry, Toru. You didn’t deserve that. I’m such a bitch.”
“Seriously, you’re good. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You’ll ease into your job in no time, We all know you’re the best thing for this company. Get some rest, I’ll talk to you tomorrow.”
The line goes dead before Chiyori could say anything else. She released a breath she didn’t know she was holding. Satoru was as supportive as ever. He’d always been the one there for her through all of her troubles and yet she felt like a fraud. I’m the fucking worst. She didn’t know what the future looked like working alongside Nanami. She knew she couldn’t keep this up but she didn’t have it in her to talk to Satoru about it either. Coward. I’m such a fucking coward.
Okay but JJ and Audrey’s first time having sex once the IUD is removed 🥵 the dirty talk alone omg
🥵
18+ below the cut, MDNI
JJ drove her to the appointment and waited with her to be called back. She could’ve easily done it herself, but he wanted them to do it together. They’re in this together, they’re going to make a baby together, and in his mind that process started now.
They have a few things to take care of after the appointment, JJ needed to check in with the charter and the store, and Audrey had a meeting with her editor that she took in his office while he’s busy. She ran into her brother and niece afterwards, JJ wrangling the one year old as she ran through the store, shrieking as her Uncle JJ, which comes out as more babble than anything, chased behind her.
He caught her about the time Audrey stepped out and the way that man tickled and held their niece just does things to her. Thoughts of him playing with their own kids making her a little warm. John B’s exhausted as he leaned against the counter, rubbing his face and eyes, his daughter going through a bit of a set back sleep wise as she grows and matures and he’s pretty sure he’s been awake since at least four am.
“You guys wanna take her for the night?” John B yawned widely, half kidding as his sister leaned beside him, “Let us get some rest?”
Audrey shook her head no. Normally one to jump at the chance to take the little girl for the night, she had plans tonight that do not involve having a child anywhere near their house. She felt herself grow warmer just thinking about it, and she attempted to shift in what she hoped was a discrete way. “Sorry JB, we’ve got adult things to do tonight.”
John B blanched, shaking his head, “Oh, gross. Do you have to tell me that?”
Audrey didn’t respond, her entire brain going fuzzy as JJ spun the little girl before they both fell down, the blonde letting his niece climb all over him.
She was quiet the entire drive back, JJ’s hand along her thigh making her even hotter, and by the time they get back to the house and JJ pulled into the garage, it took everything she had not to jump him the moment the door is closed.
They made it inside and JJ hung the keys up on the little key rack she got them a few years back, one of the first things they bought together for this house. Audrey planned on them having a nice dinner, maybe starting a movie before they got distracted and made their way to the bedroom, but it’s barley five now, and the only thing she wanted was her husband’s cock.
JJ was oblivious to his overheated wife, moving slowly through the hallway and mud room to the kitchen, looking for something to eat or snack on until they decided what to do for dinner. Standing in front of the refrigerator, he was only slightly surprised when Audrey wrapped her arms around his waist, hands flat on his chest as she pressed to his back.
He squeezed her hand, pulling it from his chest to kiss her fingers and just as he’s about to reach for the weird creamy dip thing she bought a few days ago, she palmed him over his shorts.
“Oh?”
Audrey kissed between his shoulder blades, squeezing him again, her fingers gently coaxing him to attention, feeling him harden slightly under her hand. “Get me pregnant, J,” she all but moaned into his neck and the refrigerator door slammed quickly before he had her in his arms.
They made it just to the other side of the island before he scooped her up, Audrey gasping in surprise, arms wrapped around his neck as he carried her to the stairs. She expected him to drop her there, but he doesn’t put her down until they’re in their room, the soft mattress hitting her back as he puts her down there.
JJ wasted no time in shedding his clothes and her own, his lips finding every part of her exposed skin, hands running across her breasts and shoulders, dipping across her hips and between her legs. She’s been dripping since they were at the store and JJ groaned when discovered it. “How long you been like this, baby?”
“Awhile,” Audrey’s mouth fell open as he slipped two fingers inside of her, curling them immediately. “Fuck, J…”
JJ hummed as he played, his other hand sliding up her leg to rest along her belly button, fingers spreading out across her stomach, “Gonna get you pregnant. You’re going to be so swollen and full of me, just the thought of you growing has me so hard.”
Audrey whined as he pulled his fingers, her lower lip trapped between her teeth as she watched him lick his fingers clean, and while she never said no to oral sex, she shook her head when he started to lower himself, “Give me a baby, JJ.”
JJ was a moaning mess when he slipped inside of her, hovering above as he sank in, hand reaching for her thigh as she grabbed him by the shoulders, both of them moaning when he drug her leg over his hip. Despite them having had sex countless times over the years, Audrey couldn’t help but feel different this time is. Even after their time together when she got out of the hospital, or the time they spent an entire weekend in a hotel in South America, or even after they got back to Kildare after their brief trip to Morocco, none of those times were quite as different as this one.
JJ groaned and whispered into her neck the entire time, keeping their pace and controlling the pressure, his hips picking up speed to give it to her just a little harder, Audrey nodding her approval as he did, hand curving around his waist to squeeze his ass.
“Gonna fuck you until you’re pregnant,” JJ mouthed at her ear and neck, “gonna fill you up with everything I’ve got. Give this pussy what she’s been begging for.”
“Please, J…”
“Can you handle it all, baby?” JJ snapped his hips and Audrey cried out, her right leg moving to slide over his hip as he the head of his cock kissed her cervix, the area just a little tender, but she couldn’t begin to describe how amazing it felt when he did, “Gonna lay here and let my boys do their job?”
Audrey nodded, lips parting as she felt herself beginning to tighten, “Need it all, J. Need you to get me pregnant. Need your babies.”
“Gonna give ‘em to you,” JJ cupped her face as his forehead pressed to hers, their mouths pressed to one another for a hot, open mouthed kiss, “gonna fill you up, Audrey. Over and over again until you’re carrying my baby.”
Audrey nodded frantically and JJ thrusted further inside her again, her fingers wrapping around the back of his neck as their pace increased, padded headboard smacking against the wall, “Give it to me, daddy.”
It took every bit of self control JJ had not to finish right there, groaning lowly as he bowed his head, “Fuck—yes. Say that again.”
“Get me pregnant, daddy. Need it all—I’m so empty right now.”
JJ kissed her deeply, hips continuing to snap against hers as he felt her squeeze him tightly, “Takin’ me so well, momma. Doin’ so good. Gonna fill you up over and over tonight, want you pregnant. Need everyone to know who you belong to.”
Audrey cried out when she felt his hands on her hips, adjusting their angle, her legs falling off his own hips as he did. JJ was a wonderful sight above her, his hair falling into his eyes, sweat coating his chest and shoulders, biceps flexed and rippling, tongue between his teeth and she felt herself begin to climb when his palm pressed to her lower stomach, working in tandem as he pressed with each thrust.
“Gonna put a baby right here,” his thumb swiped across as he pressed down again and Audrey moaned loudly, “right here, momma. Right fucking here.”
“Please, daddy. Please.”
They came together, and even after JJ nearly collapsed on top of her, her arms and legs wrapping around him to keep him close, locking them together, did he continue to rock into her. His lips pressed to her ear as they panted heavily, each thrust from JJ sending tingles through her body, “Gotta fuck it deep, momma. Gotta get it in there to get you swollen.”
And when they finally separated and JJ pulled out, Audrey watched on her elbows as he kept his eyes trained on the space between her legs, fingers moving quickly to reach the small bit that slipped from between her lips when he did, scooping it up to push it back in. Audrey whined and JJ shook his head, “Every drop. Takin’ every drop. Nothin’s gonna go to waste. ”
“Yes, daddy. Need it all.”
JJ kissed her body, focusing on her stomach and hips as they stayed in bed, his hand flat on her stomach as he turned his attention to her breasts, kissing and licking and sucking on her nipples, her fingers twisted in his hair as she moaned from both pleasure and sensitivity.
JJ didn’t let her move for about ten or fifteen minutes, wanting to make sure his swimmers had enough time to reach their target, busying himself with touching and stroking her body, lips pressed to her ear as he whispered how much he loved her and wanted her to carry his baby. How he knew she’d be a good mom, the best mom to their children and Audrey couldn’t help but let the tears escape, both of them knowing how badly they wanted a family. To start the family they never had.
